Would this work for guinea pigs?

Depends on the size of your Guinea pig…it easily holds a standard sized can of soda (for size comparison). My two female rats (who weigh a pound apiece) get in together with a little wiggle room. The zipper opening isn’t quite as wide as it’s inside base.

is it machine washable?

Yes. I wash it inside out with mild detergent on hand wash/delicate/permanent press settings on cold with no problem. I hang to dry.

Will this work for a baby ferret?

Yes it will work for a baby ferret!!!

Would this work for a rat?

I got this for my rats and size wise it would be great but mine don't care for it.
