Works perfect
Installed on the condensate outlet from my tankless water heater. Easy to install and performs great. Condensate pH before neutralizer installed was 3.3, after installation pH is 10.5. Highly recommended.

Less expensive than some others, works, but tubing is a joke.
Less expensive than some other condensate neutralizers (e.g., the Rinnai model) but it is not refillable and I am not sure how to determine when it needs to be replaced. Condensate canister seems to be well made but the tubing that comes with it is a bad joke. Its kinked, and I cant get the kink out so I am concerned water will back up in the tubing. Had to go buy some kink-free reinforced tubing. Would be 5 stars with better tubing.

Failed Plumbing Inspections in two different Towns. Buy something else.
Two different Plumbing Inspectors had issues with this Neutralizer. American Valve's "installation manual" is NOT a manual, by any stretch. It's just one single page of suggestions. It gives no clear Do's and Dont's, which gives Inspectors a lot of reasons to fail it. After two failed inspection, I emailed the Manufacturer, hoping to get clear instructions to show the Inspectors, so my jobs would pass. American Valve was just as vague and evasive in their emails as they were in their paperwork, so you know that thy know something is wrong. Lesson learned: If you're working under a Permit, or expect a Home Buyer's Inspection at some point in the future, or you're just someone who like to do things right, you'll save a pile of time, money, and potential damage if you choose a different neutralizer.

Shipped quick, installed in about an hour
For my particular install, I had to run to the hardware store for an extra fitting and hose clamps. Worthy of note is the media inside the cylinder is granular like very course sand. The screen at the inlet and outlet is like window screen. Hopefully made out of stainless steel mesh.

Does the trick and is saving my old cast-iron drains from any further corrosion
I purchased this condensate neutralizer after researching the ill effects of furnace condensate on old drains. Being in a house over 80 years old, I didn't want to stress the plumbing any further than I needed to.I've installed this on the condensate pump that my furnace uses so that condensate water will flow through the device on its way to the drain. The package came with a light plastic bracket that I was able to install on the furnace plenum. The bracket was sufficient to hold the device. Note that the device itself is actually quite heavy even without any water. I wouldn't recommend installing this without a the bracket or some such support, it'll put a lot of strain on your plumbing/hose line.

Il est opaque
Seulement une clip comme support, opaque ne voit pas les billes à l’intérieur
