This really works!
Amazing! I dried 8 gerbera daisies in only one hour of my time and they were perfect. The daisies were fresh so they retained their beautiful color. It did not require as much time in the microwave as instructed. Do an experimental first try.

Beautiful pressed & dried flowers
I took a chance on this, having had no experience with flower drying outside of the usual "stick it in a book & hope for the best".After watching a few video tutorials online, I had a better idea of how to use it but the instructions follow the same steps so it's pretty intuitive.Tips:DO spritz the felt pads before you start. Sounds counter-intuitive but if they're not a touch damp, I suspect the flowers will burn rather than dry.DO go in short bursts - I have a regular kitchen microwave (1100? 1200? high wattage, not a mini one). The instructions say "100 seconds" but that's for a much smaller microwave (700w). I started with 30 seconds & went from thereDO take the packet out after each burst, dry the plastic parts off, let it cool a few seconds, re-seal it & turn it over for each consecutive burst.DO be careful - the packet creates steam which is way hotter than you think so be cautious when you open it and touch the pads.DON'T try to pull the flowers off the linen!!! really, seriously don't or you'll ruin your hard work. Open the packet, let it cool a second and then, if any are stuck to the fabric, you can gently pull/stretch the fabric - grab opposing corners & just stretch it, turn & stretch again - you'll see the flowers come off quite easily and don't break.I'll be happy to get some more experience with it. Unfortunately, the first flowers I used gave me a terrible allergy attack so I've been a bit unwilling to try it again. It's asking about "suitability of the toy for the age" but IDK if I'd consider this a toy. That said, I think people as young as ~10-12 yrs old could work with this if they were interested. You'd want to be sure they understand microwave safety (i.e., don't put the package in for too long and remember it's HOT) and have the patience to handle the delicate dried pieces.I'm looking forward to using these in my crafts - cards, jewelry (I put the dried flowers into cured resin), etc.

Works
Used for leaves for my liquid amber tree. Also tried preserving tulip petals. Works well and at a great price. I wouldn't recommend for kids as it gets very hot after you've preserved more than a few leaves in a row.

Trade off for time and money
Pros: Saves money on buying dried flowers. Saves time on drying your own flowers.Cons: Small surface. Standing at the microwave all day doing 15 second intervals of heating with about a minute of cooling. There's a learning curve and risk of ruining flowers. My experience :I wanted to dry some funeral flowers to put into craft projects as gifts for the family. I needed to dry the flowers before flying home. In theory this sounds great, but I really didn't realize how long this process would actually take. There's a small surface, so you can't dry a lot of flowers at once. You have to let them cool before microwaving again. I noticed if I did longer times, my flowers would turn brown. So I ended up with 15 seconds at 20% power. But even then, some still turn brown. I still haven't figured out the sweet spot for my microwave, even after spending HOURS each day for about a week. It's also hard to tell when they're done, so I put them between paper towels and let them sit a few weeks just to be sure. Lastly, at some point my cloth dried out and I didn't notice. The cloth and flower started a tiny fire in the microwave. Luckily I was doing 15 second intervals, so it didn't get out of hand and only caused minimal damage to the cloth and padding.Final thoughts: This saves time of you have specific flowers you want to dry and you need them fast. It saves money if you can't afford to buy dried flowers. However, if you have the time, it's better to dry them the old fashioned way. If you have money, it's better to buy them. In those instances such as mine when you need something specific dried right away, this is a great option.

Nice addition to your crafting supplies!
Maybe I’m too rushed and didn’t use this properly. This is the first time I have dried any flower and most came out nicely. Nice item to have in your crafting supplies.
