Found a Sony blu-ray player with HDMI output at Goodwill for $10 with no remote. I bought this remote and it works perfect withh no fuss - just install batteries and it instantly worked.

Great value, zero setup required
I have multiple Sony players and not able to find any remotes form them this small remote connects directly to Sony Bluray and dvd players without the need to program. Just add batteries and I am able to control two different Sony players with full functionality. I gave it 4 stars because the build quality and materials is a bit cheap. The battery compartment cover tends to come loose, and does not "lock" with a firm click. That said, great value for the money in for no-hassle, Sony remote replacement.

Great replacement - quality feels a bit questionable.
Lost our OEM remote in a recent move, and was happy to find a replacement for a good price. Shipped quick, worked with recommended batteries and synced up to our Bluray player without issue.With that being said, we haven't had this replacement remote for long, but I have a feeling it'll need to be replaced sooner rather than later. The plastic body and battery cover are REALLY thin and flexible and it doesn't appear like its held together completely. LOOKS identical to the original, but the plastic body construction is definitely different.

Amazing & Unexpected value, instant fix of “broken” Sony DVD player
When my remote faded and stopped working I did not know what the problem was and started to think about a replacement. Then I noticed the availability of a Sony remote with matching part number, got it in couple of days and WoW - this quick, painless and cheap fix saved me $70+ and installation hassle.
