Garden Dome Igloo- Stylish Conservatory, Play Area for Children, Greenhouse or Gazebo.

We bought one after we went to the Watergate hotel and rented one of their igloos for the evening. Last year, we set it up in our front yard in DC and this year, we just moved it to our backyard in Williamsburg. The set up is alittle time consuming the first time, maybe less than 2 hours. The second time, it was less than 30 minutes. We absolutely love it for the winter. Update: For the summer, we bought the mosquito net. In Williamsburg, the temperatures can reach 99 degrees and we live in a heavily wooded area next to the water. The mosquito net and a few fans inside the Igloo have allowed us to enjoy summer as much as we have enjoyed the winter. I really have enjoyed our garden Igloo.

The concept is great however the frame is not designed to last; first cold windy day of the winter and the dome crumbled. I figured I would reassemble it in the spring but the frame broke into tiny pieces. It cannot be re-assembled and now I have a giant mess of plastic shards to clean up in my yard. It lasted about 1 month assembled.

Great concept, only the design was not quite there. There is no screen behind the two window pieces or the door piece, n the two window pieces could not be zipped all the way to the end. Bad air flow n open or even inviting to Marquita attacks therefore, I don’t see how could kids could play in there or adult resting there as advertised. It is stuffy in there with both window pieces open n door open to the masquitos. Took two people hours to set it up, then a key part was missing from delivery.

Overpriced and such a waist of money. It’s a Giant kite once a wind storm comes up. Great idea but such a disappointment. Completely fell apart in less then 6 months.

Not a good quality product. I can not recommend this product because it does not look like the picture. It is wrinkled and not smooth like the picture shown. Also a very difficult return procedure and i'm still trying to return the item. I purchased this item based on the other review and I wish I did not because it's expensive.

Parts of it were broken

The other reviews knocking this product are simply not all that bright...terrible reviews. First the person saying it "fell apart" clearly in the photos they did not secure the unit to the ground. When properly installed and assembled, the dome is a solid unit and when properly secured to the ground so air isn't allowed to get under, it does not "fall apart". Ya think a giant dome won't lift off the ground if you don't secure it? Never used an umbrella in your life? The other review that the cover is wrinkled, it is clear PVC folded up for shipping, never buy clothes before? Those are wrinkled due to shipping to you or the store too! Once you put the cover on and let the sun warm the cover, the wrinkles naturally come out. We set ours up in about 1 hour, then I spent about an hour using the handy holes in the connector blocks to mount it to our deck. We also put a tarp and carpet down so air doesn't come up under the deck...with a 18K BTU propane heater, we stay nice and toasty in the dead of winter which in Minnesota, is cold!

Although a little pricey, we found this item to be worth the price, as now we can get our kids out of the house to play instead of watching Ipads all day.
