Very thorough cleaning
This worked extremely well although I did have to use a bit more than the high end of the recommended amount. I have a Pure Water Mini-Classic that uses an enclosed boiling coil. I had tried to clean it by boiling vinegar and that worked to some extent but there was still some scale and tarnish. The directions indicated that you should use 1-3 tablespoons in a quart of water. I used 4, added it to the boiling pot and then added more water. You need to either hold your breath during this process or wear a painter's mask because the vapors are very pungent and you don't want to inhale them. I put the lid on the boiling pot and loosely closed the container as quickly as possible and left it for several hours. When I came back I immediately dumped the solution and thoroughly rinsed the pot repeated. I also ran the distiller once and dumped the water to insure a complete cleaning. The coil was very clean. Parts of it were actually as shiny as it was when it was new. I was very pleased with the result.

The perfect product for any distiller.
Great product. Does exactly what it's intended to do, even if you have a hard water scale build up. While the boiler is still warm/hot, I put in 3 barely level tablespoons, or less if the scale is not that bad, put the top back on the distiller, and leave it over night. The following morning the distiller is completely clean. Rinse out the distiller and you are ready to go. Mine runs all of the time, because I raise dogs, and this is the only water they get. It reduces both eye and beard staining by removing the minerals and limestone. Even though I have a whole-house filter, the boiler on this machine is still very scummy and scaly with use. I keep a tick mark on the wall, and I have to clean the boiler every 20-25 gallons. I tried the white vinegar method, and it takes way too much vinegar to be effective, and it doesn't completely clean the boiler in one siting over night - there's always scum and scale left in the boiler. I don't use anything but this product, and the boiler stay shiny like new. I've had mine 1 1/2 years and recommend it to all my breeder groups.

Best Distiller Descaler
This descaler is incredible! When you buy a distiller, they send a few ounces of descaler that contains only citric acid. Then they expect you to keep buying it. The Kleenwise has an added compound of sulfamic acid. This works much better than the citric acid alone. Different water sources leave the residue in the distillers in different places. Mine leaves it mostly on the bottom. I just put a few ounces of water in the distiller. Put less that a quarter of the teaspoon of the descaler in with the water. Try to get the powder on the scaling. Then I rub my fingers against the scaling and get the powder to dissolve. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes. And it's done. With only the citric acid, you'd now need something abrasive to scrub the scaling. With the Kleenwise, you only need a sponge to clean off the surface. Make sure you fill it with water a couple of time and wipe the steel inside to get the descaler completely out.

As good as the rest of the distriller cleaners.
I've been using this KLEENWISE distiller cleaner for a couple of months now. It cleans the same as the other crystal distiller cleaners that I have tryed. With this and the other cleaners I have found that I still need to go in with "barkeepers friend" and scrub it out. The crystal cleaners get about 98% of the job done but there seems to be stains and small areas that the cleaner doesn't quite get. The "barkeeper friend" completes the job and leaves the interior of the distiller bright and polished.UPDATE: I have found that over time the "Barkeepers Friend" has polished the inside of the distiller to a point where I need less and less crystal cleaner. After I use the distiller I now just scrub the inside with the rough side of the sponge pad and there is very little left for the crystal cleaner to do. I think that in time I will only need the crystal cleaner just on a few occasions when I run the distiller twice in one night.UPDATE #2: The "barkeepers friend" has polished the interior of the distiller to where it is as smooth as glass. The calcium and other deposits have nothing to stick to inside the distiller. It still looks like it is coated with milk but just a few wipes with a sponge and it is clean. I then give it a scrub with "barkeepers friend" to keep it polished and I don't need to use the crystal cleaner anymore.

One of the essential cleaning supplies
I have a list of essential cleaning supplies. They include bleach, baking soda, pure lye, rubbing alcohol (or 190 proof Everclear if you can get it, not available in my state), and a commercial grout cleaner. And citric acid.I use this regularly to get calcium deposits off of fixtures. When I moved into my house, the shower had 30 years of calcified remains build up. The stainless steel came clean easily after soaking in a citric acid/water solution for about 20 minutes. The tile and grout needed a little soaking and scrubbing, but I was amazed at how clean it looked when I was done. Now keep in mind that when dealing with 30 years of stains, I needed three products to get everything clean. The grout mildew cleaner was needed to scrub away decades of dead mold. The citric acid was needed to scrub away the water stains. Bleach was needed to get rid of the stains. In the end, I applied each two times, and I was absolutely amazed at how clean my shower looked when I was done. It made me decide to put off a bathroom renovation in favor of other projects.I use it to soak my daily use tea kettle 2-3 times a year.A quick wipe down of stainless steel cutlery will remove any "permanent" spotting. And, of course, I use this to clean my water distiller. This is an indispensable product to have in the home.
