API POND-ZYME SLUDGE DESTROYER Pond Water Cleaner With Barley (2 Pack)

Update below original post -Wow ... My pond has grown more and more cloudy from debris from water hyacinth we added a few months ago. I made a mistake a few weeks ago by adding salt to .01% and it did “ding” my hyacinth which in turned caused a ton of small particles from the hyacinth to swam the pond. I did a few water changes the remove the salt and the water was still filled it particles and a little algae buildup. So I decided to give API Pond Zyme. I’m so glad I did..... I treated the night before last and then yesterday morning it was so much clearer with just one treatment. The water was very clear all the down to the bottom. Normally it’s only kinda clear about the first foot then gets murky from there down. I love this stuff so far and this will always be in my closet.Update: So after the first dose we skipped a day then did the second dose. The very next day the pond was back to being murky. You can see in the second photo. The API product just settled on everything like a blanket. I’m hoping it clears back up in a few days so I will continue to update as things progress.

Have been using this product for years. Never had any problems with it.

Works well but very temporary. Finally added a UV light to the pond.

Regular treatment of our 4500 gal Koi pond with this product seems to reduce sludge buildup and maintains a clear water environment. It is much easier,to see any potential problems with the fish. I plan to continue use and recommend it to others. It does not appear to reduce oxygen in the water so is safe to use.
