I'm pretty picky when it comes to lighting, so the fact that I'm giving this five stars should mean something.Pros:- Bright. These are really bright. Night and day difference over incandescent bulbs.- Cheap. $10 for a pair? Yes please.- Well made. "Bulbs" looked well made with a heatsink. Soldering looked solid too.- No Polarity. Earlier/cheaper LED "bulbs" have a polarity (the D in LED stands for Diode.) It is a PITA to install eight LEDs and then have to check for polarity. Then turn the ones around that aren't on.Cons:- Visibly turns the backup light housing light yellow. Basically, the bulb stands out when you are six feet or less from the car. This is NOT a big deal at all and does not decrease performance at all.- Basically noneUPDATE 2 Dec 2017: No change, still strong.Will update in the future if issues arise.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 2020Both these lamps are flickering and unusable now, and need to be replaced.MY ORIGINAL REVIEWA backup light cannot be too powerful; since I am usually struggling to see behind me in my mirrors, especially when the pavement is wet, I would happily have backup lights as powerful as my headlights. These 5w LED bulbs appear to be twice as bright as the supposedly 1200 lumen lamps I bought on eBay (I put in one bulb and compared them), and I would guess about twice as much light as the factory incandescent 18w bulbs.Would I take brighter? Always. But I don't want to pay $30 for higher wattage LEDs and halogen bulbs don't appear to be available in this size. These are quite good.

Original equipment backup lights usually have inadequate brightness, so I like to find solutions to enhance the brightness, economically. These seemed very reasonable at just $9.99 for the pair. Although the 2013 Honda Fit manual showed that replacing them was a simple job, it wasn't. The holes in the bracket that the bulbs are behind are very small. It was impossible to get my fingers on the bulbs and apply any torque to remove them. But the problem was solved with a pair of common needle-nosed pliers. I changed one bulb at a time so I could compare the brightness of the new LED bulb with the other original one. The new LED was much brighter and very white. It made the older original bulb appear dim and yellowish. So I immediately changed it for the LED. A great purchase that makes a great difference when backing up in the dark.

I replaced my halogen 921 bulbs during a sunny afternoon (under direct sun light); these LED bulbs were so white and bright, at a first glance it was easy to see the standard halogen bulb in yellow with the new LED bulb is pure white I thought for a second that it was not working - LOL. I am glad I purchased 3 sets for my car, wife's car and son's car. Hope they will last as long as stated in the product description.

Brighter than the stock Audi lights. No complaints from the CAN Bus system. No polarity problems. And the price is right, too. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll keep on working without problems, the way LEDs are supposed to. But at this price? They're very much worth buying and trying, instead of the competition at four times the price!

Put these in a 2001 Ford f350 with a 08+ rear taillight conversion. At first I thought "my **** neighbor left his patio lights on" until I realized my reverse lights illuminated everything behind me with a 50ft wide spread /25ft high. I was literally seeing into the trees.Awesome little bulb for the price.

Some of the leds don't work and they get extremely hot and start blowing the fuses in your car

The lights were working fine until now ( 2 months later. ) The lights are now flickering all over and it just gets me annoyed when I see it. I also noticed when trying to switch the lights from one I barely use to another one that the color was different, some were bright white and some were bright yellowish/white. I payed $50 for 5 packs which contains 2 in each, I cant return the product because it's past the return window already. I am not buying these again unless I get this resolved.
