Cheap and works
Just needed a simple printer…. Works great. Noisy but who cares?

piece of crap!
Printer seems fine,BUT the "how to" sheet needs to have the warning circles printed in RED!I know, as I ruined the color cartridge by pulling ALL the plastic off, as I did with HP printer.Cost me $, time. oh-well us seniors need visuals!! NOW; 30 days later won't print photos anymore!!

Noisy, but it prints
This printer has (temporarily?) replaced my old but beloved iP4820 PIXMA ('down' for reinstallation of its ink-absorber device). This printer feels 'cheap' compared to the iP4820, much lighter. The instruction sheet leaves the 'Don't connect the printer to a/your computer yet.' instruction hanging - just WHEN DO I connect? I could not convince the installation DVD to run until I connected the printer to my computer; I went online and downloaded (free) the Canon printer installation program and THEN the DVD awakened.I remain completely confused about the included HDMI cable; there is no USB fitting on the printer that I could find. The printer/computer cable IS included.I am awarding 4 stars because this device worked properly from the 'get-go', but it does not deserve 5 stars quite yet.

Works as described
I deliberately bought this wired printer, because my wifi isn't always what it should be. This printer was easy for this elderly woman to set up. It's lightweight and easy to lift. I prefer Canon printers to others I've had because I thunk they put out a reliably high quality product. I just use my printer for home use and my taxes, and the only issue I have is that it does go through ink a little faster than my previous printers. Not really a problem for me, but if I were using it for a business that required me to print brochures or something, the ink could get expensive.

I sent it back
Not the most up-to-date product. Needs CD-ROM to install drivers. Poor paper handling. Don't see how to copy or scan. I sent it back.

Not up to Canon standard
I give up. I bought this one a few months ago and hate it. I’ve had a number of Canon printers over the years and loved them all-until this one. Holds very little paper. Turns itself off after an hour or so. The ink cartridges are almost impossible to get in and out. I’ve been spoiled by my previous models. Am going to donate this to someone and have ordered a new one.

Love the print quality
Love the printer and print quality. Ink cartridges look expensive. Waiting to see how long they last.

Worst printer I have ever had
Took forever to figure out. Nothing but trouble. I would not recommend. Doesn't print well either. Very faint. I wanted to just throw it away. I still might.
