These are your typical silica gel dehumidifiers. Supersize versions of those little packs that come in practically everything these days. They are great for removing the humidity from spaces where strict levels are needed.Like most gel packs these days when they become saturated they go from orange to green. When that happens, stick em on the base (a small forced air heating element) and after 2 hours you're good to go.New packs can also be purchased separately if you want to cover more space. As these are passive you only need the base to renew them.

In the south, in my camper, the humidity is so high, it's just miserable. You can run the AC, but to get rid of the moisture, you have to freeze yourself out.This little unit makes all the difference in the world. It's shocking to see how much it pulls form the air even when running the AC. Because of rain, I had to dry my laundry indoors once. Wow. First, the stuff dried a lot quicker than I expected, and I was amazed at how much water this unit sucked in.For the geeks out there, you'll notice that the unit only has a 9v power supply for a 12v Peltier chip. Trust me, there's a reason. Running it at 12v (like in an RV) means you don't have a dehumidifier, you have a teeny tiny freezer.

When I ordered these, I was skeptical. When I received them, they were smaller than I had expected. I was also leary about the construction. They felt flimsy and I was not sure if they would hold up to repeated use. They felt like those little green baskets you buy your strawberries in. I hate sending things back, so I put them to a test. My safe was having a notoriously high humidity. 34%. The safe is a Winchester 24 gun safe. I had been using the EVASAFE rechargeable packs. I started using the VELLGOO and realized they were needing to recharged almost every three days. Granted my safe has a 24" golden rod also. The humidity started to drop. It took about 4 weeks, and the humidity is now at 22%. In the past I had also installed Frostking "D" seals around the door to the safe, and tape sealed all the holes inside and outside the safe. I honestly did not see the humidity drop until I used the VELLGOO. I am just worried if I drop one they may shatter. I have some very high grade pistols. I also oil them, use storage oil and protectant, e.g. CLP, and use a Seal and Vac to store them as we have been threatened with flooding, a dam breakage, and other disasters. All in all Vellgoo has proven to be an effective desiccant.

We had a mildew problem in some closets. I wanted a product that would help dry out the area. These mini dehumidifiers are just the ticket! They are compact and easy to set in the areas that need drying out. I can tell when they have reached their max by looking at the color of the particles showing through the small clear plastic window on the top. Then I pop the device on the drying stand (electric, to be plugged into a wall outlet) and in a few hours, it's ready to do more drying. I bought 2 drying units so that I could have one in the closet at all times. EASY TO USE! Doesn't wear out and need to be tossed!

I live in a very humid climate and this works great in small rooms with no outlets.

I bought this to use in my camper. It's important to keep the humidity down in RVs. I have it in my bedroom and I don't ever notice noise from it. The light on it can be shut off, but I use it as a night light as well. I'm thinking of buying a second one for the main living space in here and maybe something really small for my bathroom. I've been really surprised at the amount of water it pulls out of the air. The thing is not very large, so it's great for my small bedroom. It's maybe 2 rolls of toilet paper tall and 3 cans of soda wide. It can be placed on even a small nightstand.

I bought this because I was smelling a musty smell in my closet. I is very close to my bathroom and I think the moisture from the shower was going inside. I put the dehydrator in the closet and it turned black in one day! I recharged it and it took a bit longer (couple of days) to get black. I have two one in each closet. So easy to recharge you just put it on the recharger, it will dry it out for two hours and then automatically shut off. So glad I got these.
