Sabrent EcstaPro Extended Battery for GoPro HERO4 Session (GP-KT4S)

There are probably only a few times a year that I would need to use the extended battery and this definitely meets those purposes. I've usually get about a little less than 5 hours of recording in my testing using the following settings: 720 @ 60fps wide, no wifi, no lights, beeps 100%, spot metering. Other than plugging a power cable directly to the session, this is the only viable solution.I would like to see them make a better frame.Would by again...well actually I have 3 of them.

Since I use my Hero 4 Session for kayak fishing, there used to be no great way to extend my battery life, until this came along. My internal test was I left the wireless on and recording 1080p 30fps with protune and it lasted 3.5 hrs. My other test is that I just left the wireless on, not recording and after 6 hrs, it still had around 70% battery left. Obviously, that's not how I would use it, so just an fyi.Awesome product and great packaging. I wish they made one for my GoPro remote. I had to jury rig an external battery and some Velcro. Hopefully it never gets soaked.

However the battery does not continually charge the GoPro since the GoPro seems to disable charging and the battery unit is not smart enough to continue after initial stoppage. Which in turn make the battery unit useless unless you stop and start the camera mid stream so the battery will reconnect.So it works, however it is not smart and primarily useless.

The fact this comes with two frame mounts really makes it worth it. But I need to do some testing to be convinced I'm getting much more battery life or not. I notice a small increase in battery but when I take continuous video it seems I will only get so much. I really wish they designed the gopro with swappable batteries but this product does a good job of giving you a small extrta boost of power. The gopro think it's a computer when plugged in and I have to hit record 2x instead of once

Amazing product, for the Session 4. The issue I had with the camera was the battery life, and there was no way for me to keep it waterproof and to extend the battery.This product has double the battery life of the go pro, extending the camera usage by a great deal.The waterproof case that comes with this deal is beyond what I was expecting, seals perfectly.I have used it a few times and will continue to use it for my future hunting and hiking adventures.

What's up great for my GoPro Hero. A battery pack works well. The case is very sturdy and water-resistant. No gaps, no rattling, no water seepage.

More than doubled battery life. Just make sure the one you order matches the model GoPro you have. This one has the horizontal connection. The newer Session model has a vertical connection.

So glad I bought these. I love the extended battery life I now get from my HERO 4 Session cameras. Proper fitting, and the quick connect frame works great. Haven't tested the water proof case.

Handy to have to extend the short battery life of the GoPro but the brackets for this a too fragile, I’ve bought 2 and both have snapped within a few months. Last time my GoPro went flying across the road and a car ran over it. Bizarrely the GoPro escape with minimal damage and it still works.

Gives massive battery life to the GoPro Hero Session. Put in a suitably large microSD card and you can record at 1080P 60FPS for about 4 hours. Standard battery life will only take you to maybe 50-60 minutes so this is a massive advantage. No need to start and stop recording just to save on battery life.

I was hoping this accessory was going to be the answer to my problems. I first tested the battery indoors and I did indeed get a full 5 hours recording - 2 from my Hero 4 Session plus an additional 3 from the Ecstapro. However mounted on my bike I have never been able to get more than 1.5 hours from the Ecstapro. I wrote to the company who kindly sent me a replacement FOC but exactly the same problem occurred.

Having listen to so many reviews about the GoPro session having a short battery life in the cold, this was a godsend. The battery and casing fit with my GoPro accessories perfectly, withstood a few crashes no problem and the -14 temps out in the snow.

bought this to extend the battery life of my Hero4 on my bike but no matter how I charged the battery packthe Hero4 turned off after 1 1/2 hours After the positive reviews I read , I was very disappointed
