Works great but a slight design flaw.
The pad works just as i'd expect it to. There is no lag time between button press and action and is 'simple' enough to put together, as long as you have time and patience.Id say it took me around 45 minutes to an hour to complete the install from start to finish. I'm no expert, but i would suggest that setup is for someone with a techy mindset. My first attempt failed and thought I'd had wrote off my controller but the issue was the battery pin not being re-attached correctly. If you get orange lights flashing, this will be your reason. It looks and feels great, but the biggest issue i have with it is that the button on the back is loose. it will never fall out but it rattles and is always going to rattle as there is no way of firmly putting the button in place. This is the button you hold down when syncing.Overall I'm happy. But would i pay the money again for another controller? depends how badly i need it. i actually don't use it as much as i thought i would but if it was maybe £10 less expensive, it could sway me to buy another for a second controller. The fact its metal and not plastic is a huge win. it will not break, therefore already a no brainer compared to the first version.

Loving the metal buttons!
Install took a lot longer thanks to me missing something that wasn't optional. I did not solder anything. The case itself is noticeably thinner than the Dualsense. If I had come straight from the PS4 controller I wouldn't have noticed, but after gaming for an hour or so, I noticed that it feels slimmer and so your hand grips it differently. Not sure if grip pads would help. The buttons themselves are very nice and clicky. Good weight to them. They do feel a little loose, but when you push them up to the clicking point, it's very tactile. So there's a tiny bit of movement before you're clicking them.Definitely recommended!

More Control!
I just want to preface this review by saying I am a complete layman when it comes to taking things apart and putting it back together. Also, I have only did it in the last day so I will update this review a few months down the line once I get sufficient time with it. But my first impressions are: It’s absolutely awesome kit. In fact, it helped me get to the next boss in Returnal!I wanted to do a few mods to the controller as I had seen a friend of mine has done something similar using ExtremeRate suite of controller parts. My modifications were going to be simple, with a midnight back DS5, I will add the LEDs and back paddles.I found the install pretty straight forward, however since I was doing two mods at the same time, I had to switch between two different tutorials. I would recommend to ExtremeRate to make a tutorial covering both at the same time as I can imagine these are the most common modifications.Just on the tutorials, they are excellent. I did have to put the music on mute but it is very detailed and slow. I would recommend getting a set of tweezers. I used metal, but ceramic would probably be better for a less chance of ruining the components. The wire strips that you pull out can be quite stiff so you’ll have to be patient and wiggle it out.I found the install also quite forgiving as there were numerous times I thought I screwed it up but the components (wires and such) are very robust so it all seem to work fine.As you can see (maybe, and based on the page this review is on) I got the metal variant which is new. I actually bought the plastic version a few days earlier, but hadn’t opened it. I didn’t even know the metal was coming out. I was able to return it for a very quick refund via gift card and purchase the metal.Obviously I have had no experience with the plastic paddles, but I heard they broke quite a bit. I do not suspect I will have this problem with the metal as it is metal, it will likely bend first, but there no way you are applying that much pressure.I love the “clickines” of the paddles, and changing the buttons they are assigned is super easy. Due to the fact that they are metal, they are a little weighty, but it makes the controller feel better. I like the weight to the controller. On my controller I have the PlayVital silicone sleeve which also adds a bit of weight. If you intend to get that too, you will have to cut out some of the back to accommodate the paddles. Please do a better job than I did.Sorry for the waffling, I am writing as I think about it, here is a semi brief summary:The Good:- Easy-ish install: Great very good tutorials from ExtremeRate and documentation within the pack.- Robust components: the metal paddles, metal enclosure, plastic shell, wires, all of it is top quality.- Nicely packaged component: Nothing in the box got damaged as it was tightly packaged in foam or in anti-static sleeves.- Tools: It comes with a mini screwdriver and blue plastic thing to help pull apart the controller. Which is all I need… I lie. I needed a soldering iron. I forgot to mention that I wanted the option to Map the L3R3 buttons, so you need to do a tiny bit of soldering. But it really is a tiny bit. It was pretty easy. I didn’t bother with the touch pad.- Use in game: I heard that the plastic version was overly sensitive. They have obviously revised it in this version because they had the perfect sensitivity for time I have used it. I never got any accidental clicks and when I needed to press it, the command came out reliably.- Changing the button for the paddle: As I said before, this is very easy. I know there is face button command you can do but I have opted to use the button on the back. They say press it for 3 seconds, but it more like 5 seconds. Not a biggie though.- The badass look to them: I know this isn’t a massive thing, or maybe it is (IDK). But it actually looks awesome. The ExtremeRate suit really works well together if you have the vision of a good looking controller. The Bad (Okay, I am scraping the barrel here but there are two things that I might have an issue with.- There should be a tutorial for installing both LEDs and back paddles. I reckon I would have finished the install a lot sooner had I not have to jump back and forth between two tutorials.- The back metal lid for paddle doesn’t have the click it should do when you put it on. I was putting more force into closing it than I should have since I didn’t know it was actually locked in place. I might have broken it if I hadn’t kept checking it was closed. All in all, I would highly recommend this. 5 stars!!

Well worth it if you play FPS games
Bought to improve cod warfare movement. Product is good quality. Fairly difficult to fit but the explanation is pretty good and everything you need is supplied in the box including screwdriver etc. I was a bit nervous at times whether the controller would still work when I put it back together but it was fine. The finished look is great quality. Tiny bit of rattle in the paddles but otherwise feels and looks great. Definitely happy with it. One note is that your controller won’t fit the Sony dual charger stand with this fitted. I adapted mine with a saw but this was tricky and not ideal.

Received a previously opened and used product, sold as new. Not happy.
Package had clearly been used and returned by someone else. All plastic bags were open - tiny screws and other metal pieces all loose in the box. Several missing. Adhesive tape on electronic components peeled off.Clearly an install had been attempted by someone else who didn't have the skill to complete the soldering and they had simply put the bits back in the box and returned it.If returned, this should have been quality checked by someone at Amazon to see if it had been used before reselling. If that had been the case, the QA test should have failed.VERY DISSAPOINTED.

Decent
Followed a video on youtube and completed the install in less than an hour. I thought it was going t obe a lot more complicated than it actually was. Although I veered away from any soldering as I only needed to remap buttons 'X' and 'O' for FPS games. All was good up to the point of attaching the back plate and it doesn't fit correctly and falls off. If this is a fault with my kit then I'll be seeking new parts, but if this turns out to be a common problem i'll look at gluing the casing on where I can

Worst product ever!
This is cheaply made and with no instructions at all it made me waste £60 on a new controller which now does not charge at all!Do not waste your money on this as it is designed to make you waste double the money. Half on this and then half on another controller! Waste of time and I do not recommend this seller or product at all!
