Glove-ly
Wow. Thank goodness I didn’t read any of the leading reviews posted here before I bought these gloves. I love my gloves so much I bought five pairs in the colors of black, pink and green. They not only provided my practice with stability, but they also absorbed the sweat that rolled down my arms in inversions or arm support poses. By the end of class, my gloves were soaked.Out of consideration for the rubber grippy dots on the palm, I always gently washed my gloves in the sink with soap and water and let them air dry (they are pretty thick and take time to dry this way - hence the purchase of multiple pairs).I found them a cheaper and more effective solution to the problem of sliding around on a yoga mat than buying a yoga towel. Maybe gloves get a bad rap because they look dorky compared to the cool yoga towels generally used - I was the only one in my classes wearing gloves. Eventually, I traded up to an Aurorae Synergy Microfiber Mat/Towel combination mat and passed the gloves on to my aspiring yogi son. For the beginning yogi, though, Gaiam grippy gloves are a great product through which to build your practice comfortably and affordably.NOTE: Also offer a solid grip when throwing a slam medicine ball.

Clearly, this product escaped the attention of yogic consumer laboratories.
My guess is that this product page will soon be festooned with reviews declaring the worthlessness of Gaiam Grippy Yoga Gloves, 'cause they just ain't that grippy. These gloves don't work because, even though the rubber dots stick to the mat, your hands don't stick to anything inside the thin, stretchy knit of the glove, giving you an epic pinch as the material bunches between your fingers and you continue to slide. As fun as this is, I doubt these thin, cheap gloves could make it through too many downward facing dogs- in fact, my pair looked pretty worn out after about thirty minutes.Although these are worthless on the mat, they get one star for being cute enough to wear with your favorite vintage eighties ensemble.

Don't bother
These are just fabric gloves with bubble paint on them. Not worth the money. I have permanent nerve damage from a car accident and have had two surgeries on my arm . I practice modified yoga and needed just a bit of support.I still slide and they don't fit well so not only am I sliding on my mat but I'm sliding within the glove.

These are pretty but they don't work
These are pretty but they don't work. They grip alright but the problem is that they are made of very stretchy material and when you need grip the stretch and you "slide". Don't recommend.

Would have given 5 stars
I wear the yoga gloves during my daily yoga practice. I did read previous reviews with customers still having some slipping issues or the gloves fingers cut into the webbing between their fingers. I discovered a tutorial video for downward dog which explained how to distribute the weight down into my knuckles, thumb & index finger area of the hands when in this pose. This made a huge difference. I've had no issues with the gloves since following that instruction. ...other than, yes, my hands do still sweat inside the gloves, but i don't slip. 4 out of 5 because I noticed a small tear by the thumb the 2nd time I used them. Otherwise, I am very happy with my purchase.

Works great! But leaves fuzzies and are very warm.
These gloves work very well on my yoga mat. A lot of people recommend keeping a towel handy during pilates or yoga but I have found even wiping my hands doesn't help my grip for certain positions. The only reasons I could not give these gloves 5-stars is because they do leave black lint/fuzzies on your hands and do end up being pretty warm. Even after washing. It has gotten better over a couple washings but still a problem between my fingers. My hands actually sweat more because of wearing the gloves but my grip is better!I definitely recommend these finger-less gloves over the alternative because it is definitely less warm than full-fingered gloves.

These are great. My hands get sweaty when I do yoga and it was getting hard to hold some of the positions. These keep my hands in place so I can focus on my poses rather worrying about my hands slipping out of place.

Nice upgrade from my old basic Gaiam yoga gloves
These are a very nice upgrade from my old basic Gaiam yoga gloves. That lasted for years , and years ,and years of use.So far ,the fit is good and the performance is excellent. I have less slippage with these thanks to the added upgraded features of these yoga gloves. Well worth the extra money for them. I do hope they hold up as long as my old pair did too. So i will have to report back and follow up on how they hold up with time ( use and washing). So far, great first impressions with these.

Works well!
I am very pleased with my purchase - fast delivery and very comfortable. The gloves are easy to put on and fit well. They give an added confidence when gripping floor or reformer, and I have no hesitation in recommending them. I'm delighted!

These are nearly so good! I think it you had the exact right hand size they would be great, but having a one size fits most design for these kind of gloves is a bad idea I'm afraid. They grip to the mat beautifully but unfortunately they pull between the fingers very uncomfortably in downward dogs and various arm/spine balances so having to return them

Life savers!
I practice a lot of yoga but always found downward dog nearly impossible as I'd constantly be sliding out of position, particularly as the mats at my gym are not the best! These have completely solved the problem. They fit my average sized hands well, are comfy and don't let me slip at all. I enjoy my classes so much more now.

Neat gloves
Excellent service from the seller. Neat little gloves. I'm hoping they'll help with sore wrist joints in yoga but it's a bit soon to tell. Obviously there's no padding but it feels good not to be tense "gripping" the floor.

Good idea but not great for me.
Basically they are knitted gloves with sticky stuff on. I had hoped that the gloves would help me especially when doing the downward dog position. Unfortunately they stretched and moved around on my hands so when I was needing them to grip the floor the area of glove did not have the sticky stuff on them.

Gloves cut into hands when using. I can see how they can work but not comfortable as fit isn't quite right and when pushing with hands into positions such as downwards dog you find the parts in between the fingers cut in and make it uncomfortable.

Good gloves
Bought the gloves when I started yoga classes to help me to relief pressure on my hands. I think it is a great product, particularly for beginners, and those who have arthiritus in their hands. They help with a grip on he mat.

Very much like winter gloves but with grippy bits on. Definitely think they should change material. On the small side too.
