Q: Can this product be layered on itself , ie black top sheet cut to reveal a white background?

You can layer it but to do that you'd cut the sheets seperately not together.

The colors shown in the picture are what you get. Different packets have different colors. Amazon has a big choice of colors.

Q: Can it be removed from a wall when you want to change it?

It's not the static cling stick type vinyl. It is adhesive. You can remove anything if you peel or scrape enough. It can be removed but then will need to be replaced unlick the static cling type vinyl.
