These very hard, very spicy hot jawbreakers work great for keeping me awake for a half hour at a time. They have a hard core, which helps them to last longer.I work as a security guard on 12-hour shifts where sometimes nothing is happening for hours on end. Those Jet-Alert Caffeine pills work even better, but for me they only last about 8 hours and my body does not tolerate more than about 200mg of caffeine per day. These fireballs keep me going, for about a half hour at a time.These fireballs are more effective for me than those 1"-diameter jawbreakers. Those jawbreakers are not quite as hard, and have a soft center. They only last about 20 minutes. So these fireballs last longer and have fewer calories than the jawbreakers. That is important to me, because I am under-tall.
