Terrific way to clean between teeth
This thing is so much better than the ultrasonic super waterpick things. You get a tiny jab of mouthwash (I use mouthwash) at a predictable interval (that you can stop by releasing the button). These jabs are completely painless and comfortable, and do not fill your mouth up with fluid like a waterpick. I was very impressed with how well they floss between teeth, particularly in back, where it's hard to fit floss but easy to use this thing. I feel like I'm not doing any damage while getting better results, and my dental hygiene has improved.'Loading' it with mouthwash is very easy, and it's held a charge for two weeks, no problem. It also uses the same charger base as my wife's Soniccare toothbrush. It's a lot less expensive than a waterpick, and it's much nicer to use. I am a huge fan.

GREAT Product and customer support!! (Revised review.)
Revised review: I wasn't pushing hard enough. Tight fit, works great!! I found contact info for manufacturer online, Phillips. They helped!AT FIRST: I gave a poor review. "Head doesn't fit. Arrived on time, base seems to charge and work, but head doesn't snap in, pops off and shoots across the counter when I press a button. This is supposed to replace one I had for 3 years that died, (it ceased holding a charge) so I know how they are supposed to work. I'm so disappointed! I liked my air flosser, and was getting good checkups. No way to contact manufacturer from Amazon to try a replacement head first, so back it goes.

Worse with each improvement
I have used AirFlosses since the first one. Each new version since the first one has been weaker and less effective than the previous version. The latest and most expensive ultra version is useless.Sonicate toothbrushes and air flossers used to have good batteries. Now it seems that more than half the batteries are garbage and die in a short time. After WWII when Japan started making more and more products that were sold in the US the quality of Japanese products was almost universally poor. As time passed Japanese product quality kept improving until it was excellent. With few exceptions, it seems to me that China is following the reverse course with product quality steadily declining over time.

Don't Use a Screwdriver to Drive a Nail. This does what it says it will do.
I do not understand the negative reviews on this. I suppose it depends on your (dental) situation. To my needs, it's been a godsend. Literally.Yes, it is not the same as a dental floss. Of course! One is a string and the other is a mechanical puffer. It does say on the box that it's for those who do not floss regularly.I have a back molar bridge. To thread a floss through the bridge is a rather tedious since I have a small mouth. This puffs air and mouthwash so readily through the gap especially after lunch at the office. Not only do I feel as if it cleaned the gap, it gave me enough mouthwash to freshen my mouth and breath. Strike one!My teeth are not tight close together. I only need the dental floss on a couple of gaps. I love how this airfloss takes care of the other spaces. At times, I feel some debris fall through even after brushing. It's perfect! Don't use a screwdriver to drive a nail into wood; or a hammer to install a screw. This airfloss does exactly what it claims -- MUCH BETTER than the waterpik. I have tried two others and did not like them! Here's just one side note: Don't bother with the Ultra model of this. Why pay $20 more just because it sends out 3 consecutive puffs? Press the button 3 x if that is what you want!

disappointing
Worked well for about 13 months, then it quit charging. I was unexpectedly called out of town before I could initiate a warrantee replacement. I was having trouble finding my order and warrantee information, when I did find it ( warrantee 2 years, order #, and model # HX8211/03 ) I attempted to initiate a replacement, I was told by the Phillips Representative that the # I had was the # of the box or packaging that the item was delivered in, not the model #. He told me I needed to give the model # off the bottom of the item. Unfortunately I am unable provide this info because the broken flosser is at my home and I am currently out of town. I then called Amazon to see if I could get any more information, the AMAZON rep assured me that HX8211/03 was the correct model # and suggested I be persistent with the Phillips reps. I again called Phillips and was told that several different models are shipped under the model # HX8211/03, although I could only find the one that I bought using the # HX8211/03 on AMAZON. Several flossers had similar model numbers but none were the same. Kind of frustrating. The same item is still available on AMAZON with model #HX8211/03. Until it quit working I was happy with it, it did leak pretty bad and the small tank is hard to clean. I did expect more than a years use out of it with the Phillips name on it
