Casablanca Wisp Indoor Ceiling Fan with LED Light and Remote Control

this Fan is amazingly quiet. Almost undetectable at low speeds. VERY HAPPY.

We love the fan! It is very attractive on our high ceiling, has powerful air flow circulation and very quiet. We have had other fans that do not cool like a Casablanca fan.

Updating a couple of bedrooms and a family room and wanted a more contemporary look with a smaller fan size really for the bed only. Most of our guests are from the South and are used to fans regardless of the air conditioning and those from abroad think they're fun. The fan is nicely made being from Hunter's more expensive range and they have a lot of fan experience which is why we stick with known brands for these items.The fan is quiet on its lowest setting and moves a reasonable amount of air so I think sleeping with it as this setting would be fine. At higher speeds it becomes noisier of course but I don't think it will ever be off the first two settings. The light is bright enough and as we have 4000k lights all over this house as we like the crispness. The color of the light is not a problem but it is not quite as white as the 4k bulbs in that room and seems a shade less. Dimmer works fine once it has been set according to the manual as initially it would not dim but after programming it from the remote it was fine albeit it seems to dim in steps rather than a smooth dim such as we get from our Lutron Caseta remotes but not a big deal.If I had a complaint it is the plastic blades which nearly made me send it back but once up on the ceiling it was harder to tell they were plastic. The underside of the blades is somewhat hollow so it could be a dust trap. Fan worked perfectly out of the box and there was no need for adjustments with the provided weights. Installation was not bad although the instructions for changing the rod were a little vague. Basically you have to take parts off the standard down rod and fit them to the desired new one. I ended up with a couple of extra screws and have no idea where they went if anywhere and they were not mentioned in the manual. The fan came with washers supposedly to fit under the fan blade screws but they already had a split washer on them which could not be removed so I left off the washers supplied and mentioned in the in manual. Other that little things like that installation was straightforward and everything worked perfectly. Yes, you have to dismantle it somewhat to change fan direction but we're probably never doing that but I can see a better design could fix that easily.Considering buying another one for another room as we are happy with it.

The fan looks great and is super quiet even on high speed. On lower speeds, you absolutely cant tell that the fan is running. My ceiling is white and this fan blends very well with the ceiling. I especially chose the white fan for this reason. I didnt want the fan to be very conspicuous.It does move a lot of air and keeps the room cool.I had it installed through an electrician who was able to do it without any difficulty. Hence, I cant comment on the ease of installation. Hopefully the fan will last long and work well. That is yet to be seen.

I bought three of these fans for bedrooms, one was not working and returned immediately. The fans were professionally installed, so it wasn't my fault this time. I have had a long career in electronic engineering.I have had the fans for 2.5 years and my advise is don't buy it unless you have an application that requires a remote control only. If the fan/light is wired to provide power off a room wall switch the electronic design gets wacky (technical design jargon). Turning the room light switch on resulted in the light continuously cycle through the lighting states. Cool light show but not helpful. Point: don't wire the unit power through a wall light switch, use the remote only and continuous direct power to the unit. The lumen rating is 1540 lm but I am skeptical since the room illumination is poor. You have to take the fan apart to change the fan direction. The fan speed is good and the noise level is reasonable and it looks marvelous. Recognize the led bulb is one of a kind and at some point you may be junking the fan for a burned out bulb. My fans are 2.5 years old and the annoyance is reaching the replacement level. Good Luck with your decision.
