Tyler's Ultimate: Brilliant Simple Food to Make Any Time

Wonderful recipes and beautiful illustrations

It is always convenient to look recipes up online, but there is something so nice about having a physical cookbook to reference. This is one of our 'go to' cookbooks.

I ordered this book after watching the show Tyler's Ultimate, on Food Network. I loved the way they show put a menu/meal together and thought the book would follow this format. Unfortunately it doesn't.The recipes in the book are good, but have only given the book 3 stars due to lack of synchronicity with the show of the same title

I really didn't expect this to be "easy cooking" do I don't see it as a flaw, but if you are considering this book, you should be aware they are more complex than others available. I only cook from this book on weekends and days off, but so far the results have been fabulous. The ultimate spaghetti and meatballs is now the only acceptable recipe in our house for spaghetti. The ultimate fried chicken is delicious, and earned compliments even from my husband who generally does not like fried chicken. The ultimate mac and cheese is also delicious.
