stronger than it looks
just a dandy little rod for close in margin fishing .I use it with a old zebco 33 reel and have caught carp to 5 pounds with it with out any problems.

NOT a 6'6" fishing rod!
I called Amazon Customer Service upon receiving this because this page is just wrong & confusing. The Manufacturer/Seller only adds to that in answering the question on pistol grip. The spur on the backside makes a casting rod a "trigger grip" the shorter grip with spur/trigger & a palm swell makes it a "pistol grip". The rod I received is 5'6" pistol grip & is pretty nice & pistol grip rods are becoming scarcer to find as not many manufacturers offer them anymore. I'd love to give this 5 stars for comfort & quality but since I was mislead by a foot in length, I just can't. I feel a bit silly because I read many favorable reviews on the "6'6" " rod. None mentioned the reality that it was only 5'6". I am fully within rights to return it. I'm not sure just now if I will since it feels so nice in my hand, it depends on how the vintage Zebco reel I ordered for what should have been a 6 foot 6 inch rod balances & feels on this. I may upgrade my rating if Zebco corrects this misleading page.

Very cheap pole
The shipping was decently fast but when I tried out the pole I noticed that after a few casts it started to separate as it a 2 piece design. It does not really want to stay together.
