I don't know what my CFM is, my system is older, but a 3 hp Oneida. I know originally I figured I could run 6" metal ducts, maybe bigger near the unit. I've had no trouble in overhead ducts, never clogging. Works fine for my small wide belt etc. But for my smaller Delta Jointer, an 8", this does not fit the opening well enough. I find that even a small place where the dust and shavings build up, it slowly will get bigger and bigger a clog right at this point. It is a bit frustrating. I find that If I just have the shavings go down the chute, into this on the floor, fine, but if I attach it to the machine, it clogs. **Q: there is no mention of how tall this ityem is??? length and width but none of height???** A: The dimensions are 13-1/2"X 6-1/2" X 7-1/4" **Q: Does the 13-1/2" x 7-1/4" measurement include the lip? Or is that the top inside measurement?** A: I measure the inside opening on the one I got to be 6&7/8" (outside measurement = 7&1/4") by 11&3/4" (outside measurement 13&1/2"). The lips (about 3/4" each) are only on the ends of the long direction. **Q: Does anyone have a recommendation for how to mount this thing? Like an adjustable stand this can be attached to? Maybe a flexible arm of sorts?** A: I used a car clip on cup holder. I modified the clip and run a screw through it near my work station. It is handy when I need it and off my bench when I don’t. I found this while browsing for other things. It's a bit bigger than the original but it works great.
