Full disclosure: I hate housework and I hate cleaning windows. I had tried to vacuum the dirt that has collected in the outside grooves of the window sill, behind where the screen fits and where the window closes. Hardly budged the dirt and dust. I didn't want to bring up the shopvac just so I could use water. Window cleaner loosened it, but the dirt smeared a lot and I used up cleaning rags and paper towels. These handy little groove cleaners work quite well. I tried them out on the dirt without water and tho it moved the dirt off the surface quite well, since they are a looser woven material that is slightly abrasive, it was still there. So I used water on the groove cleaner and voila! the surface of the windosill was so much cleaner. The groove cleaner removed the dirt and absorbed a lot of the resulting muck. It rinsed out easily with water and was ready to use on the next window. The handle opens to remove one set of the cleaners and insert another set. Has made cleaning,easier but I still don't like housework

I tried to use this on window tracks and it just moved the dirt and particles around and didn’t get I. The corners. They include two little brushes for that, but it was much more effective and quicker to just use a microfiber cleaning cloth from my kitchen. I don’t have blinds, so maybe it works better on those, but for window and shower tracks, I didn’t find it effective.
