Great product
This is pretty good I’ve had it for about 3 years now and it’s still in impeccable condition and my son takes it to school so you know. It deals well, easy to carry, it doesn’t keep the temperature of food but if you get an ice pack it’s fine.

Awesome for School Lunches!
I love these trays. I send my kids' lunches in them every day. Before I found them, I packed each kid’s food in multiple tiny containers and tossed them in lunchboxes, which resulted in a bunch of dishes and overflowing kitchen cabinets. The Bentgo trays are durable, easy to clean and store well (the trays stack and I put the lids in a bin). They're small enough to fit in their lunch boxes and hold plenty of food (my kids are 4 and 5, but I could easily fit my lunch in them, too). The snapping lids are also a plus- they’re tight enough to seal the containers, but are still easy for the kids' little hands to open and close. I highly recommend them. AND… I love all the color options.

Best solution for toddler lunches!
So glad I found these, they are perfect for my 18 month old to have his daily lunch in. Often I dont even have to fill all the compartments with foods. They are perfect size for a standard lunch box, and I fit slim ice packs above and below to last until lunchtime. The center circular cubby is pretty small, use it for ketchup or ranch. They dishwash well, the lid is super with 6 snaps all around, and the value for buying 2 or more to switch out through the week cant be beat. I'll often put a frozen pouch in the largest compartment packed with other food, too - serves as extra ice pack and everything is totally ready to eat by noon. His teacher just takes off the lid and sets the whole box in front of him, he loves getting his little fingers into each section to treasure hunt for whatever is yummy. We just Love love love these!

Leaky, but works for packing toddler lunches.
This is extremely durable. I’m pretty sure I could run over it with my car and it wouldn’t break. The plastic is thick and does not bend, even when a lot of pressure is applied to it. The compartments are smaller than I expected. I can fit one half of a sandwich in the largest compartment. I do like the versatility of the compartment sized and have made many yummy lunches with this. The size is perfect for my toddler, but may be too small for older kids with larger appetites. However, I knew Bentgo as a leak-proof brand. And let me tell you, this is NOT in any way leak proof. I’ve tried jello, ranch dressing, mangoes, watermelon, and other “juicy” fruits. If there is any amount of liquid in this, it will leak. Does not matter how little or how much. The only fix I have found to work is to use a piece of cling wrap over whatever “liquids” I have in this lunchbox - this has worked well for me and 75% of the time prevents leaking. Overall, I do enjoy this lunch box and it works well for what I bought it to use as. I have recommended it to friends and I do use it twice a week. I’ve had mine for nearly a year and it works just the same as the day I bought it.

Great Product!
These bento boxes aren't perfect but we find them useful! Pros: Our children get only 15-20 minutes to eat lunch. I like that this gives me the option to pack a few options (an "entree", some fruit, and desert) and it's all together. I like that they only have one container to worry about and once they open it, everything is right there. My youngest son has ADHD and having all his options in front of him has really helped him to actually eat more of his lunch. He's less distracted. We actually use these without the more expensive cover and just put them directly into our children's lunch boxes. Cons: They are definitely not water tight. We put yogurt or jello in sometimes and it generally doesn't spill but I wouldn't try anything runnier than that. They can be difficult to open if your child has poor fine motor skills. Our solution has been to use press and seal before latching on the cover so if my son struggles to open it food doesn't fly everywhere. That also helps with leakage. Overall, I love them, my kids love them. I've purchased 5 of them now. 1 broke after a year of daily use and the other a slightly newer but still going strong. I highly recommend this product.

Perfect for kids lunch
I purchased two of these when my son transitioned to 5 days a week at school (from 3 days a week). I wanted to have one in reserve to prep for two days instead of every night. I love these. We've had them in use for a month. My son loves packaged lunchables and while I was able to get us organic ones, I still didn't love them for a regular option. I love the space that these provide for multiple food options. I'm able to put small dill pickles in his lunch in the long narrow compartment. I'm able to do turkey and crackers in the larger section and use the remaining three sections for other fruits and vegetables. I'm considering ordering more so I can prep for three days at a time instead of two. I've had no issues with them smelling like the food after washing consistently for the last month. Definitely worth it for kids lunches.

The compartments are small.
I ordered this for my granddaughter because she likes to bring lunch to school. It’s made well, but it didn’t work out for her. First, there’s no insulation to keep it cold, and the compartments are pretty small. I kept it because I will use it for small snacks like nuts and raisins, etc.

Not leakproof.

This bento has worked perfectly for my 3 year old (was still 2 when we started using it). He can open the clips himself and his teachers at daycarenhelp him close it. The sizes of most of the bento areas are good, the little one in the middle was a bit annoying but we've found like 8 blueberries or 4 teddy graham crackers can fit in it for a little treat. It has been completely leak proof and fits in the dishwasher well. My son has snacks provided by his daycare so it's a perfect size for lunch. He is a relatively big eater so if it had to last him the whole day we would have to send an extra snack on the side. It's a bit too small to send with my 6 year old to grade 1 for the day, maybe if the sandwich area was larger but we guessed as much when looking at it initially and decided to try it for out 3 year old only.

I love Bentgo Kids. In response to other reviews: •these are not leak-proof on their own, as these are extra trays and lids to use for meal prepping; they are meant to lay flat in your fridge until you need them, then the lid gets popped off and you insert it into your bentgo kids box; They're literally just storage for your rotation!! •the portions are supposed to be small! These are literally meant for primary children (up to age 7). I'm an adult who uses these for easy portioning of my daily fruits/veggies/crackers/hummus; I take two Bentgo Kids boxes work daily for my daytime foods. •I cannot speak on the lids cracking if too much force is put on them as these are my first back-ups for meal prep rotation, but I found it reasonable to open. If for some reason you gave this to your kids, yeah-- I bet they'd struggle. The lids are like $3.50 to replace, if that is an issue -- OR I'm sure you can contact Bentgo as they have incredible customer service.
