I was disappointed that so little of this book actually dealt with root cellaring. I bought this when I was preparing for a class on food preservation and expected this to be the definitive work on root cellars. It wasn't. It touched on various types of food preservation, and for that it was fine.

There are so many practical facts in this book. I won't have to waste years trying to figure out how this works. I really appreciate this book.

If you end up using only a few ideas or suggestions from this book it's a good buy. If you want to keep a full-blown root celler of any kind it's a steal!
