NO INTERIOR LIGHT WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR!
I just bought one of these from Costco. Only used it a few times so far.Pro's - Seems to be fairly sturdy, easy to understand directions, door operates easily and unit is very quiet compared to the 16yr old Sharp that it replaced. I like the quick minute button operation. push it again for another minute up to 10min. Makes it easy to use. There are a lot of other features that I haven't tried yet like temp control, popcorn, auto cook, turbo defrost, auto re-heat. Sounds five beeps when your food is done and then stops, doesn't keep beeping forever like some models.Con's - NO INTERIOR LIGHT WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR! Light only comes on when cooking. Called Costco and they told me they heard from others and,"most people don't like that missing light". What idiot thought of that? I guess they're trying to save the 25 cents that a door light switch would cost. I would rather pay an extra couple bucks to have a light. Probably won't affect getting the food in or out, but it's in a darker area of my kitchen so I'll need to have an external light when I'm cleaning it. Took away a star for that. Also, I don't see how they get away with calling this a "Stainless Steel" Microwave. The only Stainless Steel is the thin trim on the front, other than that the oven is made from regular steel painted silver/black. The interior is NOT Stainless either, just regular painted white steel. Very deceptive. People would not know until they get it home and set it up. Took another star for that. The wheeled ring under the glass plate is very thin and flimsy compared to my old one. Makes me wonder if it's going to hold up. I guess time will tell.Overall, the price was fair, and knowing Costco will stand behind it helped make my decisionEDIT:I keep reading reviews from people stating they have a unit with a working door activated light, so I had a chat using the "Live Chat" link on the Panasonic website. I found that nothing has changed in the features of this unit. Here's the transcript:--------------------Levon S (9/27/2017, 10:02:17 AM): Welcome to Panasonic Product Information Live Chat Group! How may I assist you?Me (9/27/2017, 10:03:55 AM): I was thinking of buying your model NN-SA651S microwave but there is conflicting reviews concerning the interior light. Does the interior light come on when opening the door, or only come on while actually cooking?Levon S (9/27/2017, 10:04:28 AM): Only come on while cookingMe (9/27/2017, 10:04:49 AM): OK, Thanks-------------------------That said, the microwave is still working. Another irritating feature I've found is, when it is running, it interferes with my WiFi signal. The laptop cannot access the Internet, and my Echo stops playing until the microwave stops cooking. This didn't happen with my old Sharp microwave so now I'm wondering if this unit is leaking energy/microwaves...

I replaced my Panasonic 1100W with this Panasonic 1200W and I do not see any difference in the heating capacity between the two units. I know this unit is a refurbished unit, maybe that's the problem.

Mine just caught on fire reheating a bowl of soup for two minutes. It's only three years old, purchased from Costco. Incredibly dangerous!

Broke after 6 months
Bought this from Costco. After just 6 months of light usage, the microwave stopped working. The error code meant there was some problem with the inverter or magnetron. Cost to fix it was close to cost of the microwave originally. No good.

Better hope you don't have a problem with a Panasonic product!
I also purchased this microwave from Costco. The oven lasted for seven months and stopped working. Panasonic customer service SUCKS! I would not purchase another product from them again. When I called my local service center, I can't bring the oven to them to have it repaired. It has to be sent back to Panasonic. When I called Panasonic, I am offered no less than $10, but no more than $40 or half of my shipping to return the oven for repair or replacement. It's not worth the inconvenience to me. So, I went and purchased a Hamilton Beach microwave from Walmart for $73. My mom has the same model HB that she's had in her home for about 4 years.

No Light to see to clean up the mess.
Purchased from Costco. Very disappointed with lighting and sensor cooking. The light works ONLY while cooking so you can see it overflow. Need a flashlight to clean up the mess. The sensor cook for oatmeal is a whopping 3 plus minutes so you have to monitor so it doesn't overflow. What a waste of time for an appliance that is supposed to save time. Gong back to Costco as soon a I find a better one. Shame on Panasonic for cheapening this product. Last one I had lasted 10 years and had a light while cooking and so I could clean.
