Keyboard Replacement only Compatible with Toshiba Satellite C50-A C55-A C55D-A C55T-A C55DT-A C55DT-A Series Laptop,fits Part Number V143026CS1 (DO NOT FIT C50-B, C50D-B,C55-B, C55D-B)

I wanted to clean up and fix this laptop that was missing keys/membranes, and was dirty from being in a restaurant. I was surprised that I was able to find an entire new keyboard for such a good price. The old keyboard came off relatively easy by removing 1 screw (chassis screw that is roughly under the D key on the bottom of the laptop) and using a plastic spudger around the tabs on the edge to avoid damaging the chassis. After that just remove the ribbon cable and install the new keyboard. Keep the plastic spudger around for install as well to press down on the edges to clip the keyboard under the tabs so you don't damage any keys if you slip, and to also avoid damage to the keys from excessive pressure. On mine I had to use a a bit more effort to get the outside 2 edges to snap into the tabs (highlighted in pic) since they seemed a bit larger than the rest. Also there is a metal nipple on the bottom of the keyboard that needs to be popped into a socket on the laptop chassis that can be done by using the spudger to press between the "enter" and "4" key after everything else is in place (highlighted in pic). After testing everything worked as it should!

Worked perfect. No backlight but it was stated that it did not have that function. Fit just right working great

Easy to install. Hardest thing is connecting ribbon cable, make sure black tabs are up. Perfect fit. I’m a novice but it only took 5 minutes. Well worth the price. Watched YouTube video one screw needs removed from the bottom.

Fit perfect, it took me 10 minutes to clean the computer and replace the keyboard. 100% works as it should. Great deal.

Seems to work fine with my Toshiba C55-A. I needed this part after the space bar on the original one crapped out on my right during tax crunch time. Very similar to the original part, but not the original manufacturer. I had a little bit of trouble getting the new one to snap back fully in place on one side (numerical keyboard side), but got it properly seated. Also, at first I had trouble getting the cable to stay because I didn't realize the cable port had little latches on the end that slide up/down to lock it into place. I watched some videos on YouTube before installing it but that part wasn't clear to see or explained by the author. Overall a very good value!

Thank you for the quick delivery. Resolved my problem with a keyboard that had coffee spill on it. Worked perfectly and was an easy install once I found the right video to match my computer. I am VERY happy with this purchase.

These boards are very easy to replace ... IF ... the specifications are correct. I replaced my keyboard 4 years ago - same computer, same replacement - it took maybe 5 minutes total time. Easy out, easy in. This time was an hour and a half. Easy out....not so easy in. Something was off in the specifications. Either the tabs were misaligned or the mounting base was too long. Anyway I thought I might be doing something wrong so I went on youtube to double check. Fortunately for me the video I chose was installing the very same replacement board into the very same laptop. Low and behold the same problem occurred however the expert in the video assured the viewer this should never be the case and that her replacement board was apparently defective. after struggling with her board for quite a while she got it in with a slight bubble in the center. I followed her lead and finally got mine in with the same annoying bubble.
