I bought this for my 10 year old daughter during the summer to practice math skills. I was working with my daughter a few days a week on math. Yes, I am one those moms who makes her kids do school work over the summer (as a teacher I can tell you summer slide is a very real thing). We were working on fractions and she was not loving it and would much rather be anywhere but at the kitchen table working on math. The complaining was starting and I knew I had to start doing games (side note, practicing academic skills in a game form make life much easier for everyone). I hopped onto Amazon, found I could get this one fast and placed my order. I headed over to teachers pay teacher, grabbed some free fraction task cards, cut them out and waited for eagerly for this gameboard to arrive. When the gameboard arrived my daughter couldn't wait to play with it. Part of this was due to her love of pop its and the fact that she really only has dollar store ones. Once she touched this one she said "oh, this is a good one". Apparently the dollar store ones are not very good. I had her play the game which consisted of her turning over a fraction problem, answering it, rolling the dice and popping the number she rolled. I made the rule that you could pop in any row but had to have an exact number to get to the end of the row (for example, if you rolled a 5 and there was only 4 left in a row, you had to move to another row). I have no idea why I did that rule. Each full row scored a point. If there was a tie, whoever had the most popped won. The prize was getting to play with the gameboard for 20 minutes (this is only a good prize if your child only has pop its from the dollar store). This game arrived on a Friday. We played it, she loved it, and then actually asked other family members to play the fraction game! On Saturday she asked if we were going to play it. I told her no, we don't do school work on the weekend. She kept asking to play it. Finally I told her maybe later. She kept on asking. Finally I said "If you ask me one more time, we are not playing the fraction game!" Words I knew thought I would say! I decided right then and there that I would have to order some of these for my first grade classroom. The possibilities are endless. You can use this to sight words, parts of speech, contractions, addition, subtraction, pretty much anything. I did buy a few for my classroom already, but I bought some that were a few dollars cheaper (teachers are always trying to stretch their dollars). The cheaper ones work just fine, but this one does have a nicer feel to it. I would definitely recommend this one.

This product comes with everything it shows. it is a bit smaller than i expected but that is actually a plus since it is easy to travel with. my niece loves to play with this and it keeps her entertained. i would definitely buy this again if i needed to!
