While this worked for my project and would are great for adding stability they are not straight and a few of them have notable nicks and splinters

Not Perfectly Straight, But Exactly What I Needed
These HOPELF bamboo dowel rods worked great for my project. A few pieces weren’t perfectly straight, but nothing that affected what I was using them for. The 3/8" thickness and full 48" length are consistent, and the bamboo is sturdy, smooth, and easy to cut or sand. For a pack of 50, the value is excellent, and there were plenty of perfectly straight rods to choose from. Overall, they did exactly what I needed and I’m very satisfied.
