Doesn’t work, seemed dull, dragging and catching on dogs coat
I don’t know why I bought this blade. It just does NOT work. I should’ve read the reviews. I’m a pro dog groomer and was in dire need of a #3 blade and couldn’t get mine sharpened for another few weeks so I ordered this. What a waste of money. I managed to somehow groom a dog with it but it took longer than usual because the blade kept catching in the dogs coat and the dog was not matted at all. I threw out the package so I can’t return it now. What a waste of money. **update: I asked my supply lady that I get my blades and shampoo stuf from about these blades cos she has them on her van for sale. Apparently they’re for dogs with a very hard/ course coat. I didn’t notice that is was a 3Fc. You need a 3F if you want to use it on all types of coats. The 3Fc is for like like a wiry terrier coat. They will not work on shih-tzu, poodle, cocker spaniel or labradoodle coats. I don’t groom any wire coated dogs so it’s still useless to me. But just so you know **

Go with Ultra Competition Blades instead!
I'm a dog groomer as a profession. It is unusable out of the box, I have bought dozens of blades over the years and they've worked fine out of the box. The tension on the blade is too loose so hair gets caught constantly, I've never had an issue with any other blade. If you are a groomer I would go with an Ultra Competition blade by Wahl, it's this blade but with a black coating. I rarely have to sharpen them and my groom still come out fantastic. I will not buy this again.

Do not buy, unless you have spare parts.
I ignored bad reviews for this but purchased it anyways. It would not cut hair, period, even though it was sharp. Why 2 stars instead of 1? Only because I had spare parts laying around, I had to trade out a part to increase the tension. Myself and another groomer had tried to just increase the tension on this, but it wouldn't put more on. Either buy the black whal, or buy Andis. Do not buy this.

Blade doesn't work and not the same size as original
The Wahl replacement blade I ordered doesn't cut on the dog. It goes over the top, pulls but does not cut. I compared them and they are coded the same (Competition Series 30 0.8mm by Wahl USA) but the new blade is somehow defective. It's also a bit larger than the original blade. I'd like a refund or a replacement. Very disappointed in Wahl, a brand I trusted for quality, for this defective product.

Great blades, but mine arrived dull
I love the Wahl blades. I've used some before in my salon, and they really cut nicely, and the teeth of the blades are curved slightly which I feel gets under the fur better. I was incredibly happy when these blades (two 7Fs) arrived and (after I cleaned the protective film off) used them on a clean and blow dried Shih Tzu with no problems, but the next time I used them (again on a clean, dry dog with no matting) the blades dragged and would not cut the hair at all. My other 7 blades worked just fine so it isn't my clippers/blade drive that don't work. It's really disappointing that ordered two brand new blades, and BOTH drag after one use. I even cleaned and oiled the blades to see if that would help and it didn't. The only reason why I rated these blades this high is because I have used them before (when they are sharpened correctly) and they really do work great.

Fits the A5 perfectly. Nice to have one that leaves more hair on....
My smallest was a #5 and that did not leave much hair. It was short but, after 15 years or so, I decided I wanted to have clips that leave a little more hair. This one is perfect. It leaves the hair only slightly longer, but it is just enough to make a difference. Hair on the dog but fully and not quite as short as a #5.

Received a USED blade!
2/12/22 - I am a professional pet stylist and I use a lot of clipper blades. I ordered -what i thought was - 2 brand new Wahl Competition 4F blades. The first one I took out of the package appeared old and used. It even has hair in the blade! I received a replacement but that had even more hair. See pics. I can't recommend these.

I love this!
I love this! It's very sharp but not too sharp and works very well on my poodle when clipping his belly, legs and around the sensitive areas of his derriere, paws, etc where you need to clip shorter. It was recommended to me by a professional groomer who uses them for that purpose. No complaints. I just take good care of my grooming stuff so it lasts forever. I will probably be using this for a very long time.

Won't buy Wahl 10 blade again.
Wahl 10 blades seem to work well, ut only until they get sharpened. after that, they start dragging instead of cutting, and repeated returns to the blade guy for adjustment/sharpening rarely fixes them. This particular blade was no different. As this is the 4th wahl 10 blade that i've had with this problem (using various blade sharpening services), and my andis 10s are always sharpened without incident, i feel justified in generalizing it as a manufacturer issue. Perhaps they just don't like being loosened and tightened. I don't know. what i DO know, however, is i am happier to spend the few extra pounds getting an Andis that will last through many sharpenings, than a cheaper Wahl that i have to throw away after it's dull and can't be properly sharpened and re-aligned!Important to note that i ONLY have this problem with their 10s. so far, my 4f and 7f blades have re-sharpened and still work well.(for anyone interested, i've been grooming 24 years. I normally buy Oster or Andis blades, and started buying Wahl when they were on sale.)

Quality blades
This is a great blade, have been using a 10 blade for dog grooming now for 7 years, finally decided I needed to buy a replacement blade for my moser switch blade as I had some who lost x2 teeth on my old blade, this is a great replacement blade I use it on my cockapoo with a 4 and 7 comb on, I also use it for a cocker spaniel with a 1,2 and 3 blade on

Good finishing blade.
The clipper blade presented no problem in cutting the hair on my dogs. The dogs where shampooed and brushed prior to cutting. The length of cut was as I expected, just the right length not to sort, a good length for terriers coat. There where no lines in the finish cut. I think that if the dogs coat is matted then a standard blade used first would be better, the finish with an F blade.

Excellent quality
I got this for a set of Oster Golden clippers, and this blade is every bit as good (or better) than the Osters. Still going strong after regular use.

Love this item
Love this item. Only took half an hour to groom my Shih tzu baby Made my life easier. My Shih tzu has very thick double lair coat and I was struggling to groom him, used to take me hours with other type of blades. I recommend this to every one.Note- Not sure about the seller though I am having problem regarding returns n refund the different item.
