I’m an electrician so I fit plenty of sockets. These do look the part once you’ve finished faffing though.The problem is the 3.5mm socket screws. If the screws supplied are too short then no problem, get some longer ones from my tool box. WRONG! They have to be perfectly flat headed screws otherwise the face plate will not fit on properly and the screws dent the faceplate. ANSWER! Grind socket screws flat. WRONG! The slot for tightening the screws will be gone before the screw is flat. So either order longer screws or cut a deeper slot in the screw.Not worth the hassle.

I bought two of these shaver sockets. They seem to be well made and have a rigid chassis which means that they don't distort during fitting. This is important to ensure that the facia can clip on securely, which isn't the case with some cheap alternatives. I found the screw length was adequate, although I can understand why some people would have preferred longer screws.I made sure that wiring etc was clear of the transformer unit during installation in order to help prevent vibration. So far, both sockets have been quiet during operation. You can still hear a slight buzz if it's quiet and you are right beside it, but only at a really acceptable level. You certainly wouldn't be able to hear anything outside a bathroom.They look pretty good too.

Required a deeper back box than the one I had in. Put in a 35mm deep one. Would be easier with 50mm if you can with cable entering at the rear of box if you can.

Gotta say, these are absolutely gorgeous!. they are really easy to fit, great price! but i had to knock off 1 star for the tactile "click" of the switch. the activation force is quite high for a light switch so you need a bit more pressure to turn it on/off than you might think. total non issue to 99% of people for if you have thin walls between you and your neighbour, they're gonna hear them clicking on their side! (no joke. out neighbours thought we were tapping our walls for some god unknown reason Ha!).

As you can see, I have bought the single socket and fuse as well. All look fabulous and not too hard to fit.Makes a beautiful addition to my kitchen.Would definitely recommend.
