They only require a small hole for the wires to feed through. They do not come with a fuse tap and required splicing to longer wire as the provided wire ends are short. I fed the wire through the dash and to the passenger side kick panel fuse box-I used fuse 37 which supports heated steering wheel and is only on when the truck is on-which is what I wanted. Tips: When installing before outside cover is on, be careful not to lose the TINY springs that operate the doors/covers. Also, I ended up using my own screws with nuts as I was installing on my rack. They only come with tiny self-tapping screws. Looks great, and does support fast charging power. It is working well.
