These pudding bowls are fantastic. I bought the set of three, and I'm glad I did! They are a good weight, and the shape is perfect for plum pudding! I've made plum pudding for many years, and am excited to use these authentic molds. Even though they are made in Portugal, the company is British, and that makes a difference! These ceramic bowls are going to be far better than the aluminum mold I used to use -- it started to rust on the inside of the lid, and even a Brillo pad won't remove it. I highly recommend these bowls -- they are worth the price to have "the real thing"!Shipping was great. They were wrapped very securely; no chips or cracks. And they arrived on time! I'm starting late this year on my puddings, so I'm glad they got here when expected!

This pudding bowl was well packed and arrived safely. It seems to be nice and sturdy with no rough spots or flaws, and it fits perfectly in my Instant Pot. I can't imagine it won't be durable unless I drop it.It's made in Portugal, which is a plus for those who like to swap it up a little. If my first Christmas pudding is a flop, I don't suppose I'll be able to blame this bowl.

Okay, I suppose that's a silly reason for buying my first pudding bowl. But I've honestly never even thought about making English puddings. Now that I'm retiring - yeah - I want to steam a pudding in my stockpot. Whether I flame one or not, I don't think my siblings' grandkids have ever seen a steamed pudding with its candied fruits and all, and would love the holiday treat. I know I will!

Perfect for making bread pudding

1 liter is perfect for large English Christmas pudding. This can serve 8-12 people. I show a well used 0.5L in picture for comparison. The Muldale quality and packing was great.

It steamed cake perfectly and was the exact size I needed

Super duper ultra minor but annoying, mine came with a glazing defect and a speck of something black is embedded in the glaze at the bottom inside of the bowl... so I know this will drive me nuts when cleaning, but it's not impactful to the product itself.Otherwise - this is great. I bought to make Christmas Pudding, it held up to the 7 hours steaming, the groove under the rim is deep enough to properly tie around and it is hefty! Not a lightweight thing, I can tell you that, this should hold up for many many years.
