Is the 30L size passable as a personal item on an airline? In addition to a carryon to be placed in the overhead bin.

Hi, whilst each airline potentially has different rules on size, and you should check with your specific carrier, I can confirm from customer feedback that traveling with the 30L as a personal item is regularly achieved, with the 30L fitting under the seat of the 777 and the A380, although again, please just be sensible with your packing due to the expandable nature of the bag.

Does the new 15" macbook pro fit easily into the laptop sleeve of the 20l version?

Incase anyone else sees this I just bought the 20L and the new 16" MacBook Pro fits in it just fine. A tiny bit snug but enough enough that you will need two hands to pull it out rather than one. Nothing to it at all.

Would 20L fit a7iii, 85mm, 16-35 f/2.8 and 24-105mm f/4?

I'm pretty sure that it will, but you'd have to be careful that the lenses don't knock into each other. I've put an a6300 with the Sony 100-400mm, and an RX10 into the 20L, so you should be able to get these in comfortably. Good luck!

Would you recommend this as an everyday backpack for business travel?  Is there room for documents, notepads, etc with a divider in the bottom?

I do use this for business travel. It is very professional looking. There is a separate section in the back where iPad, laptop and Kindle can be in a cushioned areas. Plus you can put your wallet and phone in a small zippered "pouch" at the top of this back section of the backpack so they are easy to get to and also have them not be visible and, again, the area is padded for your phone protection.. It is also a hard-back style, meaning very structured so it does protect things inside. The major (front) portion of the backpack easily will hold files, folders of papers & reports, etc. There is a divider on both sides with separate zippers so you open the sides only instead of whole backpack.

However, I took those dividers out as they are bulky. This backpack was originally designed for serious photographers to store their lenses, etc. So the main section is a bit of a "dump" bag with no dividers so that is why things need to be in folders or different sized and colored bags that I found somewhere that I put my medicines in; pens; brush, comb, toothbrush, etc. These are colored so I can know what is in which bag and they are see-through, as well, and different sizes.

Opps--back to the backpack. It is VERY well-made, sleek and can go to work and not look like you are going to climb Mt. Whitney. The front clasp has several sizes of closures so you can close the backpack to what size you need it: smaller if not totally full or the highest clasp for people like me who pack to the hilt.

I have another product of theirs. I ordered it immediately after receiving the backpack from the Kickstarter. They are both very attractive. I have the gray one (both products I got are gray). Excellent customer service and products.

I got the backpack first when I saw my son's who is friends with the owners who started the Kickstarter for Peak Designs in San Francisco. So I immediately got involved in their Kickstarter.

The fabric is strong and has a look of a gray suit pattern (very subtle) on very sturdy material--no plastic can be found anywhere. You will not need to reinforce the zipper or do any other alterations except maybe take out the side dividers for the lenses. There are a couple extraneous straps that can easily be tucked into the separate pockets on both sides outside of the main portion. These are well-designed for water bottles or glasses or your magazines you might read on the plane. Outside on the back side is a wide swath of fabric held onto the backpack with velcro. It is for putting over the telescopic handles of your suitcase, I assume, to attach to your suitcase . But it IS a backpack so why not wear it on your back? Straps for putting it on your back again are wide, comfortable with thick fabric and adjustable. There is an attractive handle to carry it by hand.

OK--I've been procrastinating doing work long enough.
