Just what I needed and saved me a lot of money.
Easy to use. Solved my problem quickly. My car is an older ( 2001 ). It has been unable to start for several months due to a PATS problem. I didn't want to spend the $600 to $800 the dealer said it would cost to fix. I ordered and received this scan tool one day. I plugged it into my laptop and download the program. I then plugged it into the car and followed the on screen prompts. It told me that my keys needed reprogrammed. The downloaded program was able reprogram the keys. In less than an hour the car was running and back to normal. Well worth the money.

2010 F150 King Ranch- Perfect!
Hopefully this helps someone else. I bought this for my 2010 F150 King Ranch. There was a need to add additional keys and correct some sensor issues.. I have a Windows 11 laptop. It plugged up and did everything I needed it to do via FORScan. There were zero driver issues. It was plug and play for me. I do work in the technology field, but I would say that anyone who can follow directions will be just fine using this tool and FORScan. Now that I am familiar with the process. the dealers are committing highway r0bbery! Save your money and do this yourself!

Used with FORScan for my 2017 F250 & 2006 Expedition
Summary: Good quality scanner at a good price. Used with FORScan, with one minor usability issue (the HS/MS switch). Used several times so far over the past month. Would buy again and recommend to others. Detailed Review: I downloaded FORScan on my laptop and then started the process to get the 2 month free trial. It takes a day or two for FORScan to get you registered and activated. If you have this on order, start the process now. You plug the scanner into your vehicleโs diagnostic port (usually on/under the dash below the steering wheel). The other end of the scanner plugs into your laptop's USB port. After that just launch FORScan, turn the key on/start the vehicle, and click the small โConnect to Vehicleโ button at the bottom of FORScan. I bought this scanner to help me diagnose an issue with the seat heaters in my 2017 F250 not working. I of course had to watch some YouTube videos, but through the PID data available in FORScan, I was able to determine which element (seat vs seat back) wasnโt heating up. Iโve also used it to reset engine error codes (DTCs) after fixing the issue mechanically (i.e. glow plug issue). Iโve changed some settings on both my 2017 F250 and 2006 Expedition (i.e. seat belt minder, door ajar chime, etc.). There are very few settings available on my Expedition that can be changed, but there are tons on my F250. This scanner comes with a switch for HS-CAN or MS-CAN mode. These different modes are used to read different modules on your vehicle. As you can see in the pictures, on the main face of the scanner, it is properly labeled as to which direction each mode is. The problem is that when I have it plugged in under my dash, I canโt see this label because it is covered by the dash. I used a label maker to print a HS/MS label and attached it so that it can be seen when in use (see 4th pic). If it wasnโt for this issue, I would have rated it 5 stars. The cable is approx. 51โ and long enough to allow your laptop to set on the center console when everything is plugged in. After the two month free trial of FORScan, you can purchase a 1 year license for $10, or cheaper options for more years. Not that it affects the rating of this scanner, but FORScan does have a little learning curve. FORScan has a forum, but I havenโt found it super useful. YouTube was my best resource.

Adaptor not found
This adaptor works great for 2015 f250 only thing is it wouldnโt connect to my forscan it was saying adaptor not found so what I did was went to device manager on my computer and there were not any drivers installed so I downloaded the ftdichip.com driver and it connected and works great.

Does the job
Any OBD2 should be able to diagnose and 'fix' the problem codes. This does that. Many reviews say that the USB cable is flimsy. Mine is not. The switch could be better in location, as it is difficult to switch between the two modes. and too, the toggle switch seems cheap. Usage of this on a regular basis, I can see the switch going bad first. The LED do it's job as well, The indicators show what is being worked on at the time. For the money, this is excellent for a wired OBD2. My choice as I have yet found a BT or WiFi that accurately reads correctly. There are no instructions. Not an issue, if you have no idea how to use this, don't. No sense having a brick for a car because the one system change. An oops moment that you do not want. Software is a link on a biz card. The basics, unless you decide the membership part to unlock all the features to do a real tweaking on the vehicle. I bought a year for what? $10.. yes. It's worth it to open the software up for what you really need to do. One that really I needed it for was the Sync and the MyKey feature. With only one key, I did brick my Ford. I backed up the configuration in case this would happen, and I ended up having to make a key, because Sync has an issue with the one.. that is not a Admin key. The OBD2 w/software did it right by just resetting the whole system, giving me no Admin or Valet keys. MyKey no longer is enabled, thus PATS is disabled for the transponder. Now that it is gone, I can upgrade to a push button start. Again, if you do not know what you are doing, don't. I backed up my configuration, not difficult, but a little hard to find. Ford wanted to charge me 350 to remove the MyKey feature. I did it for 100. And I can use the equipment and software for a year, thus making me money. Especially since I figure out that nuisance of MyKey. Well worth the money for the hardware. Durable and small enough to wrap up and put in the glovebox.. or tool case.

Compatibility issues
I'm using FORscan v.2.3.71 with a '14 F150 5.0L. Upon connecting this device, FORscan reported that it wasn't fully compatible and that some functions may not work. There is also the inconvenience of having to flip the HS-CAN/MS-CAN switch to fully read the onboard computers. I decided to purchase the OBDLink EX FORScan OBD Adapter which FORscan shows is a fully compatible device. I returned the OHP and connected the OBDLink and no issues were shown. All checks and modifications were successfully completed with the OBDLink. Don't waste your time with the OHP.

Works as advertised
Received this to work hand in hand with ForScan. Connectivity was easy enough. Just download driver and get set. Had zero problems getting it setup with the instructions received with adapter and instructions reviewed on the seller's listing at point of sale. Quality of product seems good. Was able to retrieve all data from my Explorer quickly, and perform several tests on many systems. Found fault code in seat module that I was not surprised of, one of the motors malfunctioning. Found fault codes in rear windshield wiper that wasn't expecting. It's been malfunctioning for some time, and i had it diagnosed as needing to be reset. There were 2 fault codes fore the switch and 1 code for faulty motor. Had been concerned about something within the engine management but found all to be good after running some tests that this product along with the program made available. Am definitely a happy camper, would definitely recommend.

2018 f150
Works brilliant with forscan on a 2018 f150. No drivers even needed for my truck. My coworker even used it on his 2013 f150

Cheap and useful
Package is simple, just a bag with device and CD. Device is clearly some kind of China import, HS/MS switch is wrongly marked (on my device it is marked as HS/HS, confusing but from original picture I was able to determine which position is HS and MS so I don't take it as an serious error). Disc contains driver and Forscan software, both outdated, but it can be easily updated. Device was used with latest Forscan and plugged to Mondeo Mk3 TDDi, reading and programming works flawlessly. I am very satisfied.
