Days after receiving this thumb drive I was doing my laundry. I opened the washer and the drive fell out. OMG I forgot it was in my pocket. it had been through a full wash cycle. I took it upstairs and plunged it into the canister of rice. 2 days later I retrieved the drive and plugged it onto my computer. It worked perfectly. I don't want to preach that the drive is waterproof but in this case it was. GREAT!

I need to keep my phone backed up, and I didn't want to pay the lames at Google a monthly fee for a pittance of storage after they canceled my unlimited storage. So I needed a flash drive with a USB-C connector. This one seemed like a good deal, and it was, although you can get double the capacity for the same price if you don't need USB-C. At the time I bought this, it cost me $25.85. It has five times the storage of Google's storage plan that costs $30 per year. So yeah ... bye, Google.To back up an Android phone, just attach it, then use CX File Explorer (included on Samsungs) or some other file management app to copy over any or all of the files in your internal storage. It's a little slow, so have your phone charged or put it on a wireless charger while you back up.This has three connectors: USB-C, USB-A (for older computers) and micro USB for older mobile devices. (Flip up the USB-A to reveal the micro USB.)The housing seems sturdy and durable. Overall the only change I would make to it would be to include a cover for both ends to help keep dust out of the connectors. With the current design, you can only cover one end at a time.

I purchased this 1TB USB thumb drive based on its ginormous size, its 5 star reviews and price. After receiving this 1TB thumb drive, I used it to backup important data to transfer to another computer running the same Windows operating system. Before removing the 1TB USB thumb drive from the computer, in which I saved my files from, I used the Windows safe eject. When I plugged the 1TB USB thumb drive containing my saved files into the computer that I wanted to save my files to, Windows gave me an error indicating that more than half of the files were corrupt or did not exist. Based on this discovery, I did some research as to why this had happened. The results of this research led me to the possibility that perhaps the 1TB USB thumb drive that I received did not have a 1TB storage capacity. Based on this notion, I conducted several USB memory read/write probing tests, and the results indicated the possibility that the 1TB USB thumb drive that I received had only a 59GB storage capacity. This makes me believe that this 1TB USB thumb drive is only a 64GB thumb drive with a storage capacity of approximately 59GB of storage when formatted as a routine NTFS or exFAT external storage device. After my tests, I decided to read more product reviews of this thumb drive in order to see if perhaps there was additional information that could change my suspicion, but to tell you the truth, the reviews were mixed. So, based on some of the previous one-star reviews stating data issues and my findings from the tests that I conducted, the 1TB USB thumb drive that I received does NOT have the storage capacity that it stated it does. PLEASE NOTE: Take my review as information only and not as fact, as maybe, just MAYBE, I received a "defective" 1TB USB thumb drive. I am sure the vendor would not intentionally mislead its consumers and risk losing customers.
