YSE Cookery School Recipe Collection: Master the Art of Cooking Like a Professional Chef From Any Kitchen

My daughter returned home after working a season with YSE and this book arrived the day after. I’ve never seen her so animated about food, discussing the recipes and all her favourites. First on the list was butter chicken … it was just amazing and like most curries even better the next day . There was nothing complicated about it just good use of ingredients and good instruction. The QR code is an clever and helpful addition.There are many classic recipes in this book but also lots with a twist, an example being Asian Moules frites, possibly next of the list to try.Highly recommended cook book, beautiful food photography and definitely now my go to present for foodie friends.And as a bonus, my daughter on returning, has been spontaneously cleaning the house on a level never previously witnessed.Our toilet rolls now have peaks and stamps on the end like a five star hotel and even the cats are looking shiny.I have a lot to thank YSE for !

I'm fortunate to have enjoyed Murray's cooking many times as a paying guest of the ski company YSE (photo is of his passion fruit bavarois, passion fruit coulis, raspberry gel and almond biscotti recipe on page 263 of book, served by YSE during a previous ski holiday). Having marvelled at his skill in repeatedly delivering excellent quality food I was very pleased to read that his cook book was being published for all to enjoy, not just his Cookery School students as was previously the case.Like many reading this review, I have many cook books and can honestly say that few cover as much ground in terms of cookery skills and recipe variety. Its grounded in French cookery/techniques yet is very accessible for a home cook. The video links (QR codes) that accompany many recipe's in the ebook gives the home cook the visual clues to accompany the text, which can be very helpful when trying out a recipe for the first time and wondering 'should it look like this?'.This book is highly recommended.Please note: I was given an electronic copy of this book to review. I have since purchased it once available on Amazon.

The innovative use of QR codes to give access to video demonstrations takes this cook book to a new level!

I was given this virtual cookbook to review and was pleasantly surprised with the variety of recipes within the book. Plus QR codes that take you to videos that demonstrate alongside the recipes on how to prepare your dishes.This book would be a great introduction to any cook who wants to cook like a chef at home.I was so impressed as a home cook I ordered myself a paperback copy, this would make a great Christmas present.

This book is excellent for teaching cooking methods and the recipes are no fuss but delicious.

The recipes don’t require fancy equipment or impossible to get ingredients, but the results are packed full of flavour. The two courses I’ve made so far worked out pretty well, although I’ll need to repeat them to get the presentation better.The QR links take you to useful videos that gave me confidence.I might add to this review after I’ve cooked some more dinners for people.

This cookery book is an absolute must have for all cooks. Fantastic recipes to up your home cooking game and add a wow to your dinner parties! The scannable codes that give video explanations are a genius addition. Could not recommend more highly
