It works but not like I had thought
I thought, erroneously that it would tell me the level of propane in the tank. After reading several discussions about these gauges I realize they are not like a gasoline gauge in my car. They are only goo at telling you whether or not there is propane in the tank. I am disappointed but now that I know what it means it it OK. I plan to order another gauge but not this one.

Type 1 propane valves versus older POL valves: the descriptions should determine your choice
My tanks are older POL: the aren't compatible with this Type 1 fitting. That's due to it's extra nipple protrusion, visible as a cylindrical projection on the device's male tip inside the bigger QCC plastic nut. For POL fitment, the small male tip should look flat, surrounded by a rubber seal. On the tank of things, it's the POL female fitting that has a flat receiving rubber seal that matches/mates to the POL flat tip; the Type 1's extra cylindrical termination interferes with that flat seal, preventing a leak-free joint. Hope this helps you select the right one for your tank's valve.

Good news, bad news.
This device works well. The good news is that it measures the contents pressure well and you do NOT have to have a connection on the terminal end to get a reading. So you can disconnect, put it on, turn on tank, read pressure, turn off tank, and then remove and reconnect regular line.Bad news is you have to allow for the length of the device if you want to attach it permanently. Many grills and RV's have short hoses and small spaces that do not allow for the added length of this device.

Flimsy - Looked Used
I kept the gauge but it was flimsy and didn't look new. The gauge itself should have been clear and bright and it wasn't. Not happy, but I will keep because it does measure the propane - not sure how accurate it is though.

Not sure the gauge is accurate
Easy to just screw in place... but the gage always reads as though the tank is empty. Not sure if the full tank is only partially full or if it is the gage. So far, think it is the gage.
