I've gone to stores where coat racks are $50-75 and are wobbly.. this one is just as good if not better. Doesn't take up a lot of space which is perfect.

The middle piece comes in two pieces, and is not sturdy at all. My husband drilled out the dowels to put more sturdy ones a couple times and it still broke a few times. Then the legs broke off. This thing is garbage.

This held coats OK as long as you balanced it with items on each side as it will fall over. Then after about two years of ownership, the screw that holds the two pieces together stripped out the wood and fell over. Wood glue wasn't strong enough to keep it together with a heavy load on it. Looking for a new one now.

I bought this for my office at work, and it's just right. I work in a cube and needed something that wouldn't take up too much space. This isn't too big or tall, but just enough so I can hang several items and an umbrella.

I liked it was made of wood. But the screw holding the upper to the lower pole stripped out and now it doesn't want to stay together. Useless after about 9 months.

The coat rack works for the purpose I bought it which is to display vintage hats. If I were getting it to hang coats on it is an epic fail. The stand comes in two pieces and the screw hold them together flimsy and doesn't tighten enough to make it stable. Any amount of weight would make it fall over
