I had not heard of this product line before ordering the candle with the Dark Rum and Oak scent. After reading other reviews I decided to try it. The scent is hard to describe in a wonderful way. Someone said it leans towards a manly scent, which is true, but it also is a great alluring scent that beckons anyone to stop and take it in. Rich. Sultry. Unassuming. Doesn't scream "smell me." But you will.I burned this candle all day, two days in a row, and I estimate it burned down about 1/2" total, which was nice to see it is long lasting. The wick is well made; I always trim it before each burn so the flame does not dance around. Also, I always replace the lid after burning and after the wax begins to firm. I think that helps keep in the scent, maybe it's just me but that's been my practice.If you're on the fence, just go ahead and try it. The price is a great value for the size of the tin jar, which is a nice statement piece in itself. It is well packaged, protected in a nice box and would make a great gift. You will not be disappointed.

Smells very masculine.

Tobacco is probably my very favorite scent in a candle. When done right, mixed with warm undertones, there is nothing else like it. So I'm always searching for strong, balanced, warm tobacco scented candles. I've recently found a couple that I really love, but of course the price is a little more than I care to pay. I had high hopes for this one and overall I was pleased. It's really a beautiful candle. It would make a beautiful gift for any occasion. It burns well-evenly and clean (especially if you follow the suggestions they give you). The scent is really very pleasant-well balanced between the tobacco and vanilla, thankfully the vanilla isn't heavy handed. The only thing I wished for was that the tobacco within the blend was a little stronger and overall the scent could have been more powerful. I don't know if that was due to the age of the candle or if this brand tends toward subtly, but that's my only 'complaint' and it's a small one.If you are hesitating, I would recommend you go for it, especially if they are on sale. They will be a beautiful addition to your home and you won't have to worry about it being overpowering.

I have been very loyal to Voluspa but wanted to try a new scent that was less sugary. I’ve seen this brand many times and thought it would be worth the try. Unfortunately the smell is not very good and I can’t imagine risking more money to find a better one. Can’t win them all. Update: the seller reached out and offered several ways to remedy he situation. I’m going to give these candles another shot because these people stand by their product and that means something to me.

It looks cool but ain’t strong enough for me

First... the best customer service team award goes to La Jolie I had some product questions and contacted them directly. Super prompt. Courteous and extremely knowledgeable. The tobacco vanilla candle arrived in a gift ready box (I put pencil in photo to give you an idea of size) The candle itself is lovely. Fragrant out of the box. The tin is perfect and I just put the top back on when I want to put out the candle. It's really quite art deco ish looking . The smell!!! Wow! Not overpowering or super sweet. But definitely a beautiful breeze of fresh tobacco mixed with a slightly floral vanilla.. it's just my favorite ever. Also lovely slow burning and very even. I'm a fan !!

The smell is also not strong. I usually love love love this brand.

Nice scent but way over priced!!!

Smells amazing... a little smaller than I expected. Label is on crooked. Candle was stuffed back into box, and is scratched. Looks like it may have been a “returned” item. Upon reading my review, they reached out to me and sent me another candle of my choice, they also offered the choice of a refund. My replacement arrived, and IS stunning as usual! I choose one I ordered a few times before. Its the bergamot/berries scent in the gorgeous clear glass jar with a wood wick. The scent is reminiscent of a walk through a fruit orchard on a warm summer day. Enchanting.Thank you La Jolie Muse, you made my day! ☺️

This is my second time ordering this beautiful set of candles.They arrive packaged very nicely in a circular box. Upon opening you can smell the scents straight away.There are some reviews saying they are too strongly scented. However, I do not feel they are.Each scent is really lovely and fills the room nicely. I dont feel they are overpowering at all.These candles burn very well and last a good while each considering they are not large candles.I defintely recommend them and they are very much a home staple now as I will keep ordering them.

Ha sido un regalo para una persona a la que le encantan las velas y por supuesto quedó muy contenta. La presentación impecable en una caja muy bonita y dura, las velas son algo pequeñas pero la decoración de los vasos es muy fina y antes de abrir la caja ya se adivina que van a oler fenomenal. Estoy muy contenta con la compra y de hecho las compraré para mi.
