Will forever say ‘I built this lamp’
5 stars on looks but hardly 3 for the rest, alot of work for the price and my thumb is still sore a few hrs after assembling it. The shape is unique and it’s large but doesn’t obstruct because you can see through it. Looks black or espresso, the edges are dark brown if you look close, when the light is on the inside edges look light brown/gold and has a nice glow. Assembly, 15 min to get the first 10 ‘legs’ on, 15 min for the other 30 legs then broke 1 when I was almost done. You get 3 extra legs but honestly just pass if you get frustrated easily, tend to break things or have big clunky hands. For the price… The material is kinda flimsy and CAN break, it’s 50 pieces you have to build it yourself, it’s a literal pain in the fingers to build, plus I’m not using the cable (brought a plug in/hanging cable), but the Final product didn’t disappoint and looks good as the Ad pictures so I’d buy it again. I’d think hard about buying it again but I’d give in.

Patience and Finesse are Required!
I’m not sure what I was thinking when I decided against my better judgment (based on reviews) to get this lamp. It’s pretty, and looks good when finally assembled, but have mercy. It’s a pain in the badonkadonk to get it assembled. You have to press gently but firmly on the tops and the bottoms of every piece to assemble it in the circle. It’s made of balsa wood or similar wood. Think those old airplanes you used to get in paper packages at the dime store. It breaks SUPER easily. I’m glad they included three spare pieces, but it would be nice to include a few more. I was lucky I only broke three pieces, even while being careful. It is a nice lamp. Just be prepared to work patiently and gently to get it assembled.

Exactly what I was looking for
The shade is absolutely perfect and super easy to assemble. There are some reviews saying it was a pain but if you follow directions and are gentle you will be very impressed. I can’t speak to the electrical component since I did not use it, I bought for the shade and attached it to my own plug in cord and it works perfectly. Using for pendant in my outdoor gazebo, the light weight of the product makes it perfect for this purpose. Only negative for me was that for the shade only, I felt 55 dollars was a lot for the simplicity of materials it’s made from. Wish the seller would consider offering just the shade portion as an option at a slightly reduced price.

Not terrible for the price
Assembling this… isn’t fun. Does it turn out great looking when it’s complete? Yes. We chose an led Edison bulb for it. Installing, it’s only got a small <4” “canopy”, and the mounting hardware wasn’t long enough to screw into the existing box. We went to Home Depot and got an 8 dollar kit (photos attached). Turned out great. Great value considering we’ve been looking for awhile now for something aesthetically pleasing while still being reasonably priced

It’s very cheap wood and a PAIN to put together
For the price I was expecting this light to be a bit better made. It’s very cheap wood that breaks as you try to assemble it (see the second photo). I’m extremely frustrated I spent $60 on this. This literally feels like a $15 lamp you can buy at IKEA. It’s AWFUL to put together and the surface scratches as you assemble it. NOT happy.

Stylish light
Took some finesse to assemble it - you have to press pretty hard but after getting the first few pieces in it got much easier.looks great in my daughter’s room. Nice light for the price.

Not worth it!
The wood is so cheap several of the pieces snapped during assembly.

The trim doesn’t cover the ceiling box!
First of all, the light is beautiful AFTER you spend an hour fighting with the “simply click together” 1/4” thick piece of cheap plywood. Secondly, the ceiling trim piece is exactly the same size as the electrical box which means you get to see the drywall around it. Do not recommend. You get what you pay for. Cheap trash.
