Great for waffles!
We got this for the primary purpose of making knockoff "Waffle Love" waffles. We were really happy with the way they turned out and this sugar was a big part of that. I have never used pearl sugar before but this seems great. The balls are not too huge, they're not so hard that you could break a tooth or something. They taste good and work great in this recipe.

Excellent for baking, obviously.
I love using pearl sugar to make homemade liege waffles and Finnish cardamom buns. The little bit of crunch is lovely when it comes to softer pastries/breads. It's not too sweet! I'll continue to order this since it can be hard to find in stores.

Very small pieces
This product is good, but the pieces are MUCH smaller than what I normally expect for Pearl sugar. Otherwise good I just didn't expect it to be so tiny.

Exactly what I needed and couldn't find in the store
I love that I can always rely on Amazon to supply me with hard to find ingredients. The size was perfect, they tasted fresh and arrived appearing unblemished. Good quality for the money.

Holds its shape nicely
Pearl sugar is also sometimes referred to as "nib sugar," and it's a very coarse, hard, opaque white sugar that's popular in Europe. I got this sugar for a specific type of Scandinavian cookies, where the sugar needs to be able to hold its shape and not melt at temperatures normally used in baking. This sugar worked perfectly and tastes great!

DId the trick for making Liège waffles
I purchased this for a recipe for Liège waffles (Belgian sugar waffles). My hope was to make something similar to what they sell slopeside at ski resorts we've visited. It worked!

Very small
Be aware that these are very very small pearls - between the size of a grape nut and a Rice Krispie. If you’re used to using the nearly skittle-sized pearls from other brands in your waffles, these may disappoint.

Tasty addition to sweets.
Used for Belgian waffles and in Maple ice cream. Was delicious with both. Quick delivery and came exactly as advertised.
