tip to install the tether
Product exactly like the original gas cap. Only minor tricky part was inserting the expanding tether fastener. I first tried to force fit the fastener, but figured out that the pin portion of the fastener has to be "pulled out" before the fastener can easily get inserted into the small hole. After the fastener is inserted, then the pin must be forced down via friction fit. WD oil makes it easier. No instructions come with the gas cap, so you have to use common sense.

China Made replacement (NOT oem from germany)
This is a oem knockoff made in china. Meant to look like the real thing but it is not. And when you buy a Porsche you buy german engineering.

Rivet is too thick to fit.
Absolutely garbage, do not buy. After placing the gas cap, you are supposed to insert a rivet to keep it in place, I followed the instructions to the tea and ended chipping paint. Avoid this piece of trash.
