7 months and its broken!
After 7 months and using it about once a week, its now broken and does not power up after installing fresh batteries several times. I guess i have to contact Bushnell. I also noticed that I have used about 4 9V batteries. It seems excessive for the amount of use only after 7 months of ownership. I reverted to disconnecting the battery after every round just to save on battery drainage.

4x Magnification Means Less Shake
I looked at the V3 Jolt, and I looked at the slope. I use the Garmin S3 Approach for yardage to the green. But when it comes time to really seek the pin, you want one of these laser rangefinders by Bushnell. I considered the Version 3 and decided that it was not worth the extra money for it. The medalist is user friendly with both hands in binocular style support. That along with 4x rather than 5x means less shake when you are zeroing in on the pin. It's plenty of magnification. I have to say, it is just great. I don't want slope correction. I think golf is about making adjustments for wind, firmness of green, up or downhill. All my golf life I have been adding a club or two because of the rough, adding a club or two because of downhill and uphill lies. Golf is more art than science. Will Bushnell have to come out with a weather barometer to help adjust for colder balls not flying as well, A built in agronomist to help with different grass types. c'mon. lets play. Get the yardage, make your adjustments and hit it.

Not working very good
I have sent medalist pin speaker in twice it keeps giving two to three different readings. I sent it in for the third time to get the next best rangefinder. It cost met 122$. I am not sure what the next higher price rangefinder will be.
