It should!! They are mostly universal!!!

If you leave this in a vertical window is it easy for a intruder to break into the house?

I would have to say yes. You would be able to open the window easily. The space is not very big so they would have to open it further. That being said you could put something in the window to make it harder to open. A dowel in the window or something.

Fit a GE portable ac?

There are two different standard sizes, depending on your AC model. I measured the exhaust fitting on mine as 6" diameter, and the hose & fitting specified as being 5.9" fits perfectly. Very easy to do; easier than I'd anticipated. However, some smaller AC units have a 5" diameter outlet. Check yours before ordering to be sure you get the correct size. It might be listed in the manual but I just used a tape measure. Whatever the size, you do not need to use original-manufacturer parts, which are hard to find and ridiculously overpriced. The replacement parts I got are actually more robust than the original ones that came with my AC.
