I've been living in pain for the last week with a herniated disc in my lower back. Today Amazon delivered the HealthyLine FIR 32x20 heating mat, and it has greatly increased the relaxation that I am able to achieve while sitting here healing. It is small enough to slip behind my back on the recliner, yet large enough to cover my entire back while lying flat in bed. It is made of durable, high-quality materials including natural Jade and Tourmaline gemstones. It is easy to fold up and transport in the included carrying case. It can be used in conjunction with a cover/towel to help distribute the heat more evenly vs direct skin contact. Looking forward to a healing nights rest, now I know for sure I'll be able to rest comfortably

I was very impressed by how nicely the product was presented, packaged and the extras like the mylar heating blanket and the cover. It was so nicely packaged, the Amazon box, then a grey plastic cover, then another box, and everything inside, so beautifully put together. User manuals and a great warranty. When used on the feet, it feels like you have your feet by a nice warm fireplace, it's not heavy and works very well. The heat is amazing and it seems well made. It seems like a very responsible company. BUT, I don't understand why they describe this mat as 31" x 20", the border is 4" by 3 1/2" making the heating part of the mat only 23" x 13". I didn't realize until I tried to use it on the front of my body and put it up to my chest, that's when I realized the cold eurothane border didn't heat up and to use on your front, you've got this 4 inches of cold plastic that you have to hold away from your face with your hands. So you can't sleep with it over your body if you are trying to heat up your chest and shoulders. It isn't as wide as your back either. The stated measurements would completely cover your entire body, both length and width with warm stones. Why do they design these with this large cold unuseable border around it that actually makes the mat cumbersome? I researched these for days until I made the decision to purchase this size based on the fact that it would have covered my entire body from the neck right to the top of the legs. Also find that there are a couple of the stones that don't heat up, one in particular that is the furthest corner away from the controller is cold. Temperature gets up to 67C according to the controller, the center of the mat gets very hot and the rest of the mat is cooler as it gets to the outer edges, the corners at the further end having almost no heat at all. I don't know if this is the norm for these. This is a well made product with a well intending company, but they should advertise it as a much smaller useable area, and make the border smaller as it makes it somewhat cumbersome. UPDATE; I have recommended this to several people including the doctors at a pain clinic. It does work, it's not just a "heating pad". It does help sore or tight muscles, tendons and arthritis. UPDATE; September 2022; I have used this mat almost every night since I bought it. I sleep on this mat covered with a towel, every night. The mat is almost three years old. It's just part of my bed now. The only part I don't like is what I mentioned in the beginning; the thick plastic border. But three years....

We bought our first HL Healthyline Hot Stone Therapy pad (with negative ion and far infrared therapies) on the advice of a friend who had used his daughter's with such success he purchased one of his own through Amazon. I researched all HL Healthyline products on Amazon and on HL Healthyline's website before purchasing. Both websites provide good information, but I really depend on the reviews of a product on Amazon (thank you reviewers!). HL Healthyline's website provided more information, really drilling down to the differences between all the therapy pads offered by Healthyline. In the end, we purchased two of the HL Healthyline 32inch X 20inch hot stone therapy pads, one for me and one for my husband and one of the fully loaded HL Healthyline chair sized pads with photon red light therapy and PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field), with all three stones: Amethyst, Tourmaline & Jade, for my Reiki table and to use while sitting at the computer for long periods of work. However, back to my review of these little tourmaline and jade pads. They are so portable and easy to use, they are the ones we have on the bed, and take with us on our travels. Great for easing body tension, soothing muscles and ultimately relaxing the mind; we typically use them on the bed before sleeping or if really sore physically, overnight. At first it doesn't seem like it would be comfortable, but the tension release happens and my body just melts, fully relaxing to the point I've actually slept soundly throughout the night. Make no mistake, due to the heat setting options, you can break a sweat with these little pads. I do increase my water intake when using the pad, as the manufacturer recommends, especially if using overnight I make sure to drink water before bed and to have a large glass of water beside the bed. My husband has used his pad over his thighs, draped over a sore shoulder and as a mat for his aching feet-always very effective for pain relief. But what I've also noticed is the calming effect; whether sitting on it during a meditation, or for any length of time during the day, afterwards I'm calmer, more centered, and any anxiety I may have been experiencing is released. I refer to it as my "Zen Zone." What is delivered (and at this price point-an outstanding deal) is soothing pain relief, a calming and quieting of the mind, where body and mind are able to release anxiety, tension and pain. Temporary, because any underlying issues must be addressed, but sometimes just getting to the space inbetween, where one can breath and relax, is what is needed. We highly recommend these Hot Stone Therapy/Far Infrared/Negative Ion heating pads.

This company used to have wonderful customer service . That’s why I have continued to buy these matts as gifts and encouraged others to buy from them . The controls do wear out . If it is not within the yr warranty you have to buy a new controller . You used to be able to call them up and talk to someone. Now they call you back but have you have to communicate through emails . They must have been bought out by a new company. I insisted someone call me and talk to me . They were so ugly ! I’ve purchased 4 of these now and all 4 the controllers go out . I would find a different company to buy these from !!!

This is a great version of this heating pad, which you'll find at different prices all over Amazon, so it can be tough to make a choice. This pad only had 1 review at the time of my purchase, but I rolled the dice because the buyer is rated well. Plus, they did a good job on the listing, adding that... - the max temp is 70°C – that's true. - there's a shut-off timer – that's true, and the dial is intuitive, and it came with clear English instructions. - this pad is a mix of jade and tourmaline. - it's EMF free, FDA rated, and the negative ion level is "500/CC, Fir 6-14 UM" - you have to trust them here, but it's nice they took the time to include it in the listing. I'm reviewing this as a frugal person who LOVES heating pads, including FIR pads like this. I'm not convinced enough of the health claims to drop 4 figures on a genuine Richway, so pads in this price range are chance to try FIR on a budget. I don't mind having to put a thin cloth over it to smooth the netting and avoid direct contact with the stones, which get truly, awesomely hot (and I keep it at my sweet spot of 50°C). Unlike the pad I bought for 1/2 the price 2 summers ago, this pad holds a consistent temperature and has an intuitive controller. This one is still a good price (currently $39 cheaper than its closest competitor), but in contrast to that cheaper pad, this comes in an official (albeit a little beaten up) HealthyLine InfraMat PRO box, has English quick-start instructions, and a full pamphlet about health benefits and safety. It also came with a mylar emergency blanket, which was a fun surprise. I have no idea if the health claims of FIR are true but love how it feels, and this one feels even more soothing than my old one. Maybe it's the tourmaline, maybe it's the higher overall quality, maybe it's in my head; I'm happy either way, particularly because the higher price did equate to much higher quality in this case.
