Easy to set up with plenty of customisation. Sensor is at waist height, about 400m away through forest and triggers fine. Detects vehicles as well as pedestrians at default sensitivity. Few false positives - probably close birds or wallabies. Product meets the need for which it was purchased so hopefully the batteries/panel will hold out.

I have used this driveway alarm for almost three months now and have not missed a single vehicle coming up our driveway. We have a challenging spot for this alarm to work, as we do not have line of sight from the alarm to the house. Therefore I am impressed that the signal is able to reach the receiver over 300 yards away but on the other side of a hilltop. It is VERY easy to install...very plug and play. The solar receiver is small but if it faces the general direction of the ideal solar direction (depends where you live in the world), it has kept the battery fully-charged...and we have had an exceptionally cloudy and rainy period so the charging system is robust. It does have a plug available if you need to put a supplemental solar panel in a different direction .....the solar panel on this one faces the direction you are expecting the vehicle to pass on and is not adjustable. My previous battery failed after about 15 months. Hoping this one is significantly better. The vehicle detection has been perfect so far. It is very small and unobtrusive. I am extremely satisfied with this alarm and recommend it highly. I think the distance could be significantly longer than what I am using if you don't have obstacles (like our hill). Good product!

We use this sensor at the end of a 600ft driveway. Mostly to alert us of delivery vehicles coming in. The receiver is inside the house on an inside wall. We already have a sensor and receiver of the previous generation. Making them all talk to each other was a breeze following the instructions in the manual. So now both receivers in different parts of the house go off when either sensor is tripped. The one-button operation for several functions of the sensor (on/off, sensitivity and manual trigger) takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get it, it works just fine. We live in a very rural area so I cannot say anything about possible EM interference. Mounting the sensor on a wooden fence with the supplied materials took less than a minute. One of the sensors is mounted in the driveway just outside the gate, one just inside. So, when the gate is closed (we have a lot of open range cows in our valley in the winter) we still get an alarm and can open the gate for UPS etc. Both sensors are pointed slightly down and up the driveway, towards the house. I find that works best to detect incoming vehicles. The sensors work reliably and although they are mounted in a less than optimal orientation for the solar panel they have not run out of charge even on days when they are tripped a lot due to work being done around the gate. The sensor and the receiver are built very well. So far, after a few months using the original sensor in a harsh desert climate, it shows no signs of decay. The receiver plugs right into any wall outlet, allowing for a clean and easy install. This unit is perfect for our application. One more note is that the customer service from this seller is very good. They are very responsive and helpful and I would definitely do business with them in the future.

I thought this was an awesome driveway alert but once again it didn't last. My first one stopped working almost immediately so I assumed it was a faulty battery or solar panel. I bought this second unit and it worked great for a short time. After several months it quit working and no longer sounded an alarm. I unplugged the receiver for several days in an attempt to reset things but when I plugged it back in it made a continuous horrible beeping sound that would not stop. Now the sensor and the receiver seem to be totally defective. At this rate I'd have to buy one or two every year and it's not worth it.
