I bought these to use outside but when they came, the box stated the transformer must be kept indoors at all times. What are you supposed to do, plug them in inside the house and run the lights outside, lol,? And then there's the plug itself, it's huge! No using it outside and putting the outlet cover down, or hiding it behind a piece of furniture without moving the furniture way out from the wall. I also wish the cord was more of a green color so it would blend in better with a tree. The multi function options are impressive and all look nice. I haven't used the timer function yet but will try to update if/when I use it. The lights themselves are a very nice warm white. They look beautiful and there are a lot of them. I didn't need this many but for the price I thought I might as well get these. The price was very good and they came quickly.

I would leave zero stars if possible. After removing the string of lights from the package I tested to make sure they worked, then hung them in the room they were going to be used in. They stayed lit for, no exaggeration, about 20 seconds, then quit and have not worked since. I plugged them into multiple outlets, pushed the button that changes the light mode repeatedly, etc. and nothing. Dead. Grand total time from opening of package to lights dying, under one hour. Granted, they didn't cost much, but they did cost much more than the string of LED lights I bought at the drugstore at Christmastime, which are still working just fine. I am extremely unhappy.

We bought these to wrap around the rail of our porch as part of our halloween decor this year. Unfortunately, the wires appear to have been very poorly spliced about 3/4 of the way down from the plug, with bare wire visible and little spikes of solder that scratched the heck out of my hand. There was no effort made to cover the splices with any kind of rubber coating like the rest of the wire has, making this a fire and electrocution hazard.I bought two boxes, and didn't find any issues in the second box, so I gave this three stars. Here are my thoughts on the other set:Pros:Very long, nice thin wire that conforms around objects easilyCan connect multiple strands end to endMultiple different flash/blink/fade effectsCons:The color does not match the photos in real life (looks much more blue, kind of similar to a blacklight)Non-standard connector (round with two pins) so you can't plug a different brand of lights into the female endHard to tell what flash/blink/fade setting you are onAll in all, I would likely buy again but will inspect every string and send them back if they are poorly made like one of two boxes I got this year were.

These lights are listed as interior/exterior so I bought them for outdoor decorations. When they came the box said the lights can be outside but the transformer (where they plug in) has to remain indoors. WTH?

I dont know how much money I have wasted on "warm" lights from Home Depot, Target. Michaels, etc only to get them out of the box and they are not actually warm! These are theyre very small but a couple strings are more than enough for an 8 foot tree. Even one is enough if you like less. I really love them. I switch between colored lights and white lights every year and I am so glad I finally found some that are very pretty and not too white or blindingly bright.

These are great until you get to the remote/plug. We bought these to go around the ceiling of my daughters room and she absolutely loves them! They look great too! But... the plug could use a better design. The plug is a large box that comes straight out of the outlet. And the outlet in her room is directly behind her bed, so the fit stinks. If they would have used a flat plug like most electronics do these days, would have been much better. And you would think with a plug box this large and another large box for one little on/off button that they would have incorporated a timer on them... but that would just make sense. Again, not bad for the price though.

Each set comes with a generous extension that can optionally be removed when chaining together. The tail end of four sets is dim. We're just using what will end up being 7 sets across two separately powered chains for a 9' tree.One of the sets had a defect, where a light was missing and a base wire was exposed. I taped it up, seems to be fine otherwise.Other than that, excellent lights. Nice and bright. I am buying two more sets to finish out our tree.

I bought these lights to replace a set of traditional white (Christmas) lights that I have on a decorative indoor tree. I went through several traditional sets. These have the same warm (yellowish) white tint. I was not aware of the control module on the light string that cycles between many different light patterns. This module can be a little confusing because there are so many different patterns.I have high hopes for these lights.
