Korean Gardening Short Handled Plow

This is THE ONE hand tool for every home gardener, and professional gardeners as well. If I could give it 10 stars I would, because 5 are not enough. This purchase was actually made because my other one had managed to be mislaid, thanks to my son. But it's good to have a spare on hand anyway, because for me, it would be impossible to do any garden work without one. This is one sharp, handy tool. Dig with it, weed with,cultivate with it, plant with it. Its great for making the furrows to plant your seeds in, then works great guiding just the right amount of soil over the seed, as well as tamping the soil down. Nothing will beat this tool when it comes to weeding. And digging, that point goes deeper, quicker, and the planting is done so much quicker. Have rows to heel up, this tool works great for that too. I will never be able to give this hand tool justice. It is simply the very best gardener's hand tool ever made!!!

A tool that needs a bit of time to learn to use. Have to use firm grip or it will slide to left or right of the intended line of digging. Result is it can slide over into the garlic I was trying to weed around. But, it is very well made, really slides through dirt well. It is better than a hoe as it has that sharp point. And it is better than a multi-tine tool for digging deeper and working ground well.I like the tool. Give a bit of time to learn how to use it effectively and it is a solid five.

As an avid gardener and someone who has used and tried many gardening tools, and also as someone who doesn't like to work harder than she has to, (that's code for "lazy"), this is by far the best gardening hand digging tool available. It is invaluable for digging planting holes for annuals and perennials, is fantastic for bulbs, and I wouldn't use anything else. It saves so much strain and wear on my hands, wrists and arms. Over the years I have had two of these and lost one and wore the other one out (my own fault -- left it outside in the elements and the wooden handle eventually fell off), so I'm about to order two more.The EZ digger, (also known as a Ho-mi Korean trowel), is at the top of my list of my five essential gardening tools:1) EZ digger2) transplanting spade (best all-purpose shovel around)3) good pair of pruners4) good pair of loppers5) expandable rakeand with those 5 tools, I can tackle 99% of my gardening tasks. Without them, I feel powerless to get my gardening tasks accomplished.

i was given one of these several years ago and now have given 6 to others as gifts. They are easy on the wrist, hand and arm and can be used for everything from weeding, planting edging and lifting brick edgings to clean out and reset. They are well constructed and hold up to a lot of abuse in the garden. Everyone I have given one to agrees that they can no longer garden without one, and have in return, given them to their own gardening friends !

Over the years the EZ Digger has become one of my favorite gardening tools and I never head out to the garden without one. I have bought several in the past.The EZ Digger I just received from Amazon is a poor quality knockoff of a great tool. The metal is thinner, the blade is smaller, the metal arm is not angled properly, and the wooden handle is rough. I have a couple of the original EZ Diggers and in a side by side comparison the new one is very different from the original. I will be quite surprised if the metal arm doesn't come loose and fall out of the wooden handle.I am extremely disappointed with the quality of this latest purchase. If one wants to purchase a genuine EZ Digger (and I highly recommend the original product) I suggest going in person to a reputable garden center.

This is an epilogue to my first rave review. I am a serious gardener and loved the way the steel blade made weeding and cultivating so much easier. However, I wonder why a company that would take such care to use a solid steel blade would attach it to the handle in a flimsy way? I was using the tool today and noticed that the blade was wiggling in the handle. Sure enough, it fell out, so I'm left with a cheap, empty handle and a separate blade that is impossible to use. Why assemble this piece, which is obviously a serious tool, in such a shoddy manner? Guess I'll have to find another manufacturer. I'm very disappointed that this didn't hold up to normal usage.

I had one of these many years ago and absolutely loved it. It was long ago lost and I never saw another one in any of my local garden centers or hardware stores.All of the other tools I have used since left me wishing I still had this one. Very happy to come across this again.You can forget about trowels, forks and hoes, as this does it all and does it well. Best tool design ever!It tears through weeding and planting tasks effortlessly and the angle is easy on the wrists.While the tool design gets 5+ stars, I can only give this one 4 because the manufacturing quality is rather poor and crude. That would not be enough for me to not make the purchase again.I'm happy to have my favorite tool again!

This tool is the most helpful garden hand tool ever. It not only makes digging very easy, with its sharp point, but it also useful in moving dirt into place, and then patting it down. This is my third one ( I keep losing them), but have been using them for years. This tool is a well-kept secret that you need to know about!
