Save OEM bolts. you may need them.
I think everything included in the kits works very well with the exception of the supplied pan bolts. I broke the heads off of three! I'm very experienced, have great tools and lots of patients so 3 failures out of 20 is poor. My technique was to just us a 1/4" extension with the torx bit on and finger tighten bolts in the correct pattern. Next snug them with 2 fingers on a 1/4" ratchet in the correct pattern. I then used a nice 1/4" inch pound torgue wrench set to 40 inch pounds, less than half of the torgue spec, and had one failure. Next I went to the exact torgue spec and had 2 more failures. All three bolts failed in the same way. The head separated from the stud leaving the bolt head hollow. I was able to get a small flat blade screwdriver on them and get them to back out very easily. I replaced them with the bolts I took out and they tightened up just fine. I drove the car for 5 days (about 250 miles) checked the pan for leaks. NONE! I rechecked the torgue on the pan bolts and they were all fine and no more breaks. I then compared the depth of the torx cavity on the failed bolts to several that held and found about 2 mm more depth on the failed ones. More depth means less material common between the stud and bolt head and thus less strength. The BMW OEM bolts are stainless steel versus the plated bolts in this kit. I kept all my OEM bolts and If I ever do this again I'll put them all back in. I STILL RECOMMEND this product since everything else worked well and no leaks.

Cheap bolts. Only time will tell if Oil pan is good
The pan seems OK and fit the space , but only time will tell if it is good. How ever the bolt is very bad, 2 of the bolts sheared off at the head at even 75% (7.5 NM) torque specified. I am sure if i continued on , all of them would have sheared. Major pain as i have to remove the pan and take out the shared stem from the transmission case. Lesson learned , don't go with these cheap bolts that come with the kit, it is not worth it. I ended by using the original bolts ( although i would not want to do that, but didn't have time to wait to buy original ones) and they worked fine with the same torque tool with the correct torque settings of 10 NM. Stay away from the bolts.
