Same things as everybody else says.
Listen. You've probably already read the other reviews, you know what's gonna come. There was a styrofoam MESS, but that wasn't a big problem for me. The baskets are a little flimsy, so if you're gonna put anything heavy in there, beware. For me, it was a lot easier to assemble than the others were saying, and I did it by myself as a 15 yr old girl. If you've got any common sense, a screwdriver and a hammer, you're gonna be fine. (I will say some things are mislabled, but if you reference the manual you can do it well enough) It came timely. However, I was missing one screw, which was annoying but not essential. Honestly, if you just need a smaller desk that's on the less expensive side, you've come to the right place.

Make sure you have power tools
Don't even bother to buy this desk if you don't have a tool set. I'd recommend using a power tool... otherwise, you're in for hell. Several hours of pure and utter misery. I hated everything about putting this desk together. With that said, the instructions were fairly clear, and included helpful pictures. All the necessary pieces were in separate bags and clearly labelled. There were a few pieces I didn't know how to use, but the instructions had me covered, so as far as it goes, I think that part was very well done.I just wish someone would have warned me before I bought it that I'd need tools I didn't have... one screw driver simply is not enough to make this a doable task. It took HOURS and my wrists were killing me by the time I was done. All the same, once the desk was finally put together, it's held itself together well. The pieces are all made out of pressboard, so it's not the most durable thing. I wouldn't put anything too heavy on it, like a desk computer would be a no go if you ask me. A laptop and some books, however, are no problem for this little desk.I've used it for drawing, which results in me leaning heavily on the desk, and I've even fallen asleep at it a time or two, so as far as pressboard goes, it's pretty durable. Plus, it's so lightweight that you can just pick it up and move it any time you want, which is very convenient to me as someone who likes to spontaneously rearrange my room every time the whim hits me. I also move a lot, and my bedroom is on the second floor, so whenever I inevitably have to move everything down the staircase to leave... I'm going to be really glad that I got a desk which weighs next to nothing. This would be a great desk for a college dorm, for that reason.By the way, I want to warn you that this desk is very little. It's a small desk for petite people. I daresay that if my sister got this desk, she'd be unable to use it because she's quite a bit taller than me. Nevermind that she wouldn't have leg space, she'd be hunching over it to the point that if she ever used it, she'd wind up with back pain.I'm a tiny little five foot two, hundred pound girl. I fit perfectly at this desk, but if you're not a small person or a child, it will feel cramped to you, guaranteed. Also, be careful about what chair you buy. If the chair is too tall, or the arms too long, you won't be able to sit comfortably at the desk. Pay attention to those measurements. As near as I can tell, the measurements for everything on the desk- including its size when it's built- are accurate. So, before you buy a chair to go with the desk, or buy the desk to go with your chair, I suggest that you make sure they'll fit together like two pieces of a very satisfying puzzle.Overall, it was a pain to put together, but it would have been very easy if I'd had everything I needed beforehand. It serves its purpose well, doesn't take up much space, and it looks pretty nice. Not to say it looks like a full, fancy desk, but it doesn't look cheap either. It's simply a modest desk. For the price- at least when you compare it to most other desks on the market- I'd say this was well worth it.

Nothing Fancy but Gets the Job Done
For an incredibly simplistic desk it does fine. The instructions were hard to follow and it took longer to put together than I was anticipating. My 6 year old loves his new "big boy" desk. It's not over the top or fancy by any stretch of the imagination. But the drawer is made from the same material as the desk, which was important to us. Who wants cloth drawers in desks?! Not me. It has just enough storage to store my son's school books and chromebook. And the top is large enough to hold his art caddy and still have plenty of space to work on homework. This desk will last him thru his teen years. It is the perfect size for a small apartment bedroom. I would buy this again if we had a second child. No regrets.

Fantastic desk for the price... with some issues
I will start by saying I love the desk! The price cannot be beat. The desk is well sized and does the job. It is sturdy and does wabble. I am using it to hold a 40 gallon tank where I keep my bearded dragon.I took off a star because it came damaged. There are two corners that are severely chiped. It is also moderately chipped in the middle. There is a large scratch in the center of the table top and a small one on the left side. The wood is soft and dents and chips easily... its inexpensive so it was expected. That being said, for the purpose I'm using it for and for the price tag, I'm not bothered by the damage.I took off a second star for the assembly instructions. It is not difficult to put together. However the instructions were terrible to follow. It took a bit more then common sense to follow. I was particularly irked by a piece that was not labeled in the beginning of assembly, step 1. I had to figure out which pieces it wasn't to find out which one it was. All the pieces are labeled by letters in the book but this one had no label in the diagram. Also the wood has corresponding letter stickers.... most of them but not all. Lastly the instructions seemed to be in no particular order I followed the instructions to a T and the order they had me prepping the pieces made no sense. As a note to anyone assembling do not screw in board B (which is one of the last steps) until you have no wooden pegs left. You will understand when you start building I promise this is good advice. This is a good piece, its cheap furniture but should last awhile if cared for it like you care for any other furniture you have.

Not worth the hassles dealing with damaged components
The desk is overall good, but quality check is severely compromised. Multiple components were all damaged, with big scratches as well as some edges corners chipped. Now, I understand this is MDF and not actual wood, but then again there might be better sellers out there to buy such MDF items from. The seller didn't respond to my requests for replacing the damaged components. Amazon WILL NOT help with anything other than returning the item. As I need this urgently and don't want to invest time in building another one, I am keeping the damaged item. But, don't recommend others to fall into this trap.
