So far so good, had it about a month. It really generates enough volume to knock your ear off. And enough to distort the phone speaker too. I'm very hard of hearing (of course or I wouldn't be buying such a phone, duh) and this phone is what I've needed for a long time. Seems like the people I WANT to talk to (as opposed to a few acquaintances) WILL not speak up or make an effort to be understood. This instrument/tool is a necessity for dealing with such people. I hope to add the recommended headphone accessory soon to deal with those infinite wait times you spend on hold. I hope it can deal with the volume without distorting.

well it works, and the light up ringer is nice, and there's programmability, but I took off two stars because the volume wheel is poor. So every time you pick up the phone the volume could be loud or not, it's unclear which way to turn the wheel to make it louder, and sometimes the wheel has a mind of its own and gets louder then softer as you continue to turn it. So it's less than useless- it's frustrating, especially for a tech-averse 90 year old, who is the target market for this phone!

I bought this phone for my parents for Christmas. (88 & 91 years old) They really like it and were able to set it up easily. My dad is pretty tech savvy but he said it was easy. When entering his contacts, He had a little trouble figuring out how to make a space between first and last names. That information was not in the owner’s manual. He had to Google it! On my end, phone conversations are much easier!! My parents can both hear me. I don’t have to repeat everything.

when my old cordless display gave up to the point i could not read it anymore, i decided to shop for a new one. i have a clarity wall phone that i really like , so decided to try them out. I am 63 and can read lips very well, i can hear sounds, and people keep telling to turn up the volume. they don't understand that blah blah blah, goes to BLAH BLAH BLAH when you turn it up. I have a drawer full of cordless phones that I did not like. this phone has lots of great features. the tone feature is very good, and now I can hear again. I don't have to turn it all the way up to be able to hear. and you can set it to boost, so that when you answer, it is already in the boost mode, no need to keep pushing buttons to hear!!!!! it costs a little more , and you get what you pay for! now if the cell people can come up with something this good, I can stop texting!!!!

How can I increase the volume? My Seinhauser headphones give me much greater volume and clarity.HELP!!

phone died after 1.5 years - needed base battery replaced, which is fine, but there is no indicator

I bought this a gift for my 94 year old grandmother. She hasn't had a new phone in 30 years (longer than I've been alive 😭) due to her certain qualifications, and when her old phone finally died we had to seriously upgrade. She can finally hear on the phone and we can hear her. It lights up when ringing and is loud enough for her to hear and use. She's told me multiple times how much she loves using it and is so happy to have a new phone that works for her. It's a little pricey but worth it, especially since it hooked up perfectly with her medical emergency device.

This item should not be shipped to the UK as not does not work correctly even with a UK compatible power supply....There is a constant loud buzz when making or receiving calls which drowns out the conversation....I tried calling Clarity in the US and they were less than useless and said the phone is not intended for use other than in the US.....The phone is therefore no use tor my elderly Mother..Amazon were very supportive but please be warned if you do not live in the US..

I bought this phone for my mother in law who is hard-of-hearing. I was disappointed that the box was ripped (not the amazon shipping box), as this was a gift. However, the price was great compared to buying it at the Audiologist's office. The phone itself is awesome. My mother in law can now hear when talking on the phone. The volume can be boosted 50db and there are 4 different tone options. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Phone didn't sound any different then a normal phone it's all bells and whistles but no action it didn't sound any louder there is no Advantage for an older person to use that phone to pay that extra kind of money so I brought it back

Acheté ce téléphone pour ma mère, elle a beaucoup de misère à entendre, et avec ce téléphone elle peut ajuster le volume pour le son, elle est satisfaite. Pas trop compliqué pour elle.

The phone does as advertised BUT for seniors who are most likely to require assisted hearing, and with slowed cognitive ability there are far too many features and buttons. It is very confusing.

The reason I purchased this phone is for the Outgoing Voice Amplification feature as my father has lost most of his voice due to cancer. Although people say they think they can hear my Dad a little bit better, I was hoping for better amplification. Other than that I am pleased.
